THAT'S RIGHT. I'm going to do something like thread roulette with Gabe and have HEAVY inspiration from the show. Primarily the episode where Sam and Dean live their lives as business men. See, I want to test out a plot execution style before I use it on something BIG. So it'll go like this...
ALL THE CHARACTERS WILL BE UNDER THE ILLUSION OF HAVING LIVED DIFFERENT LIVES WITH DIFFERENT NAMES AND DIFFERENT PASTS. I WILL CUSTOM FIT THESE TO EACH CHARACTER. MORE DETAILS LATER. If your character is immune to such a concept because you say so or otherwise then this isn't your cup of tea, BEGONE :B
The threads will be one on one with a splash of Gabe when I deem fit.
"Something isn't quite right..." - character will have had slightly fuzzy dreams of their true life and connection (if any) with the person they're partnered with in this scenario. If they have tried to call who they believe to be their parents, close friend, ex or something, it'll be to something like the doctor's office, zoo, candy shop, etc. All their "REAL" memories are fabricated and for some reason all of them don't live with their families. This character will feel like something is kinda off but putting their finger on what exactly is hard because their fabricated lives also feel real. If the characters know each other, this character may feel like they know the one they're partnered up with...kinda like dejavu or "Don't I know you...?" . They also maintain the most of their personality and have the least amount of personality quirks altered.
"Oblivious" The other character in the duo will have been used to their fabricated life as if it's really their norm. With enough clues and hints, they can start to snap out of it (NOT EASY AT ALL. NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT EASY.) since they have not called their family, best friends from their childhood or anyone they recall as SUPER important in their fabricated life. Those they interact with in their new daily life know them well enough and for some excuse or another they haven't contacted the SUPER IMPORTANT people like family n' BLAH BLAH BLAH. They'll be hard to convince, but when things start being unable to match up, let the confusion begin!
:3 might only have 1 character as a Something's up role per story...we'll see.

"Something's up" - Bao Yu

Regina: A teacher who has been very good at what she does and has a passion for watching her students flourish as if they were extensions to her own family. Working with the Slytherin house, she's their new Defense against the dark arts teacher. Some students don't like her for how nosey she can be despite how nice and mild mannered she can be. Those wo have gotten on her bad side don't talk about it...usually. Regina has a soft spot for the first years it seems, kind of like a mother even though she has no children of her own. She's engaged to some fabulous man who cares plenty for her and her parents have treated her well enough in the past before they passed on. They'd be soooo proud of her!
Bao Yu: The youngest in a family of four, she was constantly mistaken for her sisters who already went to Hogwarts and doing their own thing in life. So she has a chunk of her hair dyed bue and pink as a form of identification since she was downright tired of it. Her family's history with the school is being assigned to Ravenclaw and help fund various programs. Lately, she's been hindered by various dreams where she's a muggle that holds her own and is an only child that's the heir to something and it's a bit fuzzy yet vivid all at the same time. Whereas she has no particularly important role in the family and can actually make more or less her own decisions. Still, she's a bit of a rich brat and figures money is useful for just about everything. The dreams she's been having are getting shoo'd to the back of her head as she preps for school at hogwarts. So far, that's all they are, weird dreams. Though she's got a couple best friends, but they're mostly there for free stuff benefits when they hang out. That's fine with her though since she makes them do her bidding as the price for free stuff and money from her. She treats tem less like friends and more like a pair of goons/minions. One of her best friends is more sincere than the other, their names are Lucy and Gloria. Lucy is a bit of a snob and rather Bao Yu keep in the rich circle and away from mudbloods as well as muggles. Gloria can't help but like treats since she came from a family where she wasn't given much of anything, however she does care about Bao Yu's better interests.
Mako: Though he looks a bit on the human side, he's got enough strange birth defects that made his real parents dump him in an orphanage. But that's okay since his adopted family is more than happy to have him. They were simple muggles but were very nurturing, kind, caring and loving as if he were their own. When they found out he was able to use magic, they were more than happy to send hiim off to hogwarts. Though they try to help him mesh in with average society by having him wear turtle necks or scarves, gloves, ear muffs and sunglasses. How much he tends to follow that is a mystery to them when he's on his own. Though he's nice enough, it's not like he has a plethora of friends. People tend to not bother with him since he looks kinda creepy. Though he's got a lot of rumors strung to him, whether or not it's all true is a mystery.
