WELL Bawb and I got diss hurr plot approved by Lexi, and now we're gonna go ahead and go for it! This is the sign-up thread - so if you want your characters involved, post here.
NOTE: This plot probably won't be happening until November, at the earliest. Some details still need to be worked out, some things need to happen, and we don't want it conflicting with our Storybrooke Halloween Event ;D.
THE PLOT For twenty-eight years, the town of Storybrooke has been cursed. All the fairytale characters you know and (may or may not) love have been frozen in time, living their lives as normal civilians of this world who don't remember their true identities - up until several months ago when Emma Swan, daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, broke the curse. Everyone has remembered who they are, and since they seem to be stuck here in this world for a good long while, they have begun to accept it and settle in. The Enchanted Forest from which they once came has faded into a distant memory.
But now, they're about to go back.
In a combined effort to get rid of the Queen of Hearts, Regina and Mr. Gold have used their magic to create a portal and trap her there in the now-empty world that used to be there home. In a place where Cora would be the only resident, never able to hurt another living being again. But as they say, all magic comes with a price - and this time, the residents of Storybrooke are going to pay dearly.
Not only Cora, but many, many different people now find themselves sucked in and trapped in the Enchanted Forest - some of them more familiar with the place than others. Whether they've been there before or not, however, they're going to have to deal with the reality: they've been trapped in a world that functions entirely different from what they are used to. There is magic around every corner, creatures of legend roam freely, and the technology that so many have come to rely on has simply ceased to function. How many will learn to either adjust or readjust? How many will survive? And most importantly....is there a way out?
FAQ TIME!
Can my character participate? They're not from OUAT. Of course! All you need to do is make up an excuse for them to be in Storybrooke when all of this goes down, so they can get sucked into the portal along with everyone else.
Is my character too powerful to particpate? As long as your character doesn't have means to CREATE A WAY OUT OF THE ENCHANTED FOREST IN TWO SECONDS, then no, probably not xD. Keep in mind though, if your character is powerful enough to deal with every little threat that might cross their path immediately, you might not have a lot of....fun.
So how will my characters abilities be affected in this new world? That depends. If your character relies very much on weaponry and technology, they're probably going to be out of luck, because technology doesn't function in the Enchanted Forest. If they have a gun on them or something, granted they might be lucky - until they run out of bullets. If your character has some other 'powers' of some sort, they'll most likely still be able to use them. Though keep in mind, magic works differently in the Enchanted Forest than it does here. They may have some...'adjusting' to do.
What should I expect from the Enchanted Forest? MAGIC. No, but really. Think a relatively...medieval-set world, with a shitload of magic thrown in. Your character has a chance of encountering just about any mythological creature you can think of. Perhaps they'll decide to work together, or break off into small groups to cover more ground in an attempt to find a way home. Perhaps they'll break off entirely. You may find yourself in a battle with a knight - or a dragon. Mostly, you'll probably be trying to find a way home. Good luck with that.
AFTER THIS EVENT, if all goes well, the Enchanted Forest will be opened up as a permanent location. Yaaayy.

... I've been gone for MONTHS deprived of the opportunity to please crowds and make terrible similes at people. I've gone a little mad in the head, which is why I see no problem whatsoever in signing up for a plot I only just heard of 10 minutes after returning from exile.
There, does that make sense?
So I'm putting Dimentio down! His magic might be all about warping around dimensions as he sees fit, but it wouldn't be any fun if the enchanted forest didn't at least screw it up enough to prevent him from zapping out of there. After all, doing that would deprive him of the chance to meet up with a certain Mr. J! And that really would be a tragedy.

You know, I am going to make it interesting, and toss in Steve to this plot. This sounds like fun and I am sure Steve would be confused, and would want to get home, but would help out. And since he has no tech, outside the communicator in the headset of his outfit, he is set to be in the Enchanted Forest.
Might toss in another, but not sure at this point.

Okay, so I'm assuming the plot is split up into multiple threads? That's the only way I could see it working since there's so many people.
I definitely think that there should be groups of people, like maybe Regina and Mr. Gold have a thread of DISCOVERY that they're in the Enchanted Forest and they look around for a bit? Idk, I feel like throwing EVERYONE into a thread would be a complete disaster. xD

NO WE'RE THROWING EVERYONE IN THE SAME THREAD LOL THIS IS GONNA BE FUN!!!1
ahahahaha, actually, yeah that's what I was thinking too! This plots not going to be solved in just ONE thread - it's an ongoing event, which means the people involved can start whatever threads they want in the Enchanted Forest board whenever they want. Say at first everyone decides to split up and take their chances in small groups - they can thread with those small groups, but run into other people later down the line in other threads, if that makes sense.
tl;dr - it's DEFINITELY going to be more than one thread =D

Yeah, pretty sure a thread with so many people would be... really confusing and take forever. Splitting them up would be more efficient, in my opinion~

I agree, but I also suggest that to keep it moving, do not disappear if you are in a thread. If you are in a thread, and disappear, you get skipped. We all have been in threads that stall out cause people forget or get tired of the thread.
Because of that, those who know the Enchanted Forest, should work on telling people who are not from there, but it might be fun to see what would happen. I could see people working together, rather they are good guys, bad guys or neutrals to get home.
This is gonna be fun, and I cannot wait.

Okay so. In a bit, the starting "groups" will be decided. These are by no means the groups you have to stick with for the ENTIRE event, it'll just be to decide which characters will initially end up in the same area!
IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY PREFERENCES TO WHICH CHARACTERS YOU WANNA GROUP WITH, LEMME KNOW (we're gonna try not to have the starting groups be too big, though).

I would think, if Henry and Oswin are ok with it, to have Steve/Cap arrive with them. Although, I am cool with whoever you pick. But I think that If Henry is in on this, Cap will keep and eye on him, same for Oswin.
Although, I would like to RP with the other OUAT characters in Storybooke either before or during the event.

I'd like to start with Mithos hanging with Regina, though once plot kicks in, he probably won't be staying with that group for much longer~ I'm fine with throwing Garchomp anywhere.
