Basic Details
Age: 20.
Species: Werewolf.
Personality:
Red's one of those people who has difficulty staying in one place for too long. She seems to have a natural instinct to travel, perhaps partly because of the wolf within her, but also simply because of her adventurous nature. Red is intensely curious about anything new or different that she experiences, and she'll rarely hesitate before deciding to investigate them. Gets her into trouble sometimes, sure. But she's a bit of a thrill-seeker, so she doesn't really mind trouble. In fact, many who know her well might even go as far as to call her reckless. She's very impulsive at times, and has a bad habit of endangering herself without really thinking out the consequences. That's not to say she's stupid - she can in fact be quite clever, but her problem is that she often allows her emotions to guide her actions more quickly than logic can.
Because of her rather restless demeanor, Red isn't fond of feeling trapped or tied down by anyone or anything. She's actually somewhat rebellious, and will sometimes defy voices of authority just for the sake of showing that they don't 'control' her - her freedom and independence is very important to her. She'll never let anyone do something for her if she is capable of doing it herself, and she won't hesitate to do what she has to in order to prove herself competent - even facing unspeakable danger to do so. Red isn't antisocial by any means, but she's perfectly happy wandering around on her own and providing for herself. She's not an idiot, and she won't turn down help when she knows she needs it...but, well, she'd just rather not need it, is all.
Though certainly brave, Red can be just a tad naive at times. Barely into adulthood, she's still fairly young and hasn't even really experienced a whole lot of the world due to her grandmother's fearful, suppressing lifestyle. That, and well, she is literally from a land of fairy tales. So ideals like happy endings and true love conquering all still very much appeal to her, and at times she can be quite a dreamer - hoping to accomplish what most people would realize is impossible. Sometimes, like a lot of young adults, she feels that her new found independence means that she knows - well, just about everything. Often she won't realize when someone older and wiser has her best interests at heart, and will insist that she knows best.
That doesn't mean that she just brushes everyone off, though. It's actually usually her first instinct to be friendly and at least try and socialize, even with those who don't look like they'd be particularly nice to socialize with. And Red does make a pretty good friend - she's usually not too bad at brightening up a person's day a little. She's playful, quick-tongued and witty, and has a great sense of humor - she takes very quickly to anyone who can make her laugh. Above all, Red is an extremely loyal person to those she cares about. When it comes down to it, she truly can be counted on to stand by a friend, family member, or ally to the end...though ironically, this quality was the reason one of the people closest to her ended up being killed. Since this occurred, she's been a little more careful to distance herself from people - she'll help them when she can, but the last thing she wants is to accidentally hurt anyone else. Needless to say, she keeps her cloak on her at all times these days.

Powers & Abilities
Dat Wolf Form - Bigger than a horse. Leaves a trail of eight-inch pawprints behind. And insanely fast - fast enough to rip out the throats of eight armed hunters before any of them even got a chance to scream. Needless to say, Red's wolf form is a real nightmare for everyone involved. With an extremely thick coat of fur making most parts of her body impenetrable to blades or arrows, and just too darn big to be stopped by a couple of bullets (think grizzly bear), not to mention two-inch fangs and claws capable of literally ripping someone to shreds, this creature isn't one that's easily stopped. Thankfully, though, you only have to worry about that every full moon...
What's that smell...? - In human form, Red loses most of her wolf-ish characteristics - but not all. She's got an insanely good sense of smell, and pretty darn good hearing as well - makes tracking people fairly easy.
Full-Healing Transformation - Any damage she might take in human form heals up when she transforms into a wolf - and vice versa. Luckily, should she go all bloodthirsty-monster on you, this provides the option of shooting her down and reverting her to her normal self if you're not looking to go in for the kill.
The Call of the Wild! - When it comes to living in the woods, Red's pretty darn resourceful - she had to learn to be, after all. Hunting, discerning which plants and berries are edible and gathering them, climbing trees, starting fires, following trails - she knows it all.
...Baking? - RANDOM, but I mean, she IS Little Red Riding Hood. What d'you expect? Should go without saying that she's an excellent baker.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Main/Important Equipment
Only the red cloak that's become her trademark - but it's not just any red cloak. Her grandmother had it made by a very powerful wizard. As long as she's wearing it, she will not transform - even on the full moon.
And of course, if there's one trademark item Red Riding Hood carries besides her red cape, it'd be her basket. Normally she carries useful things in here - herbs, berries, or other fruits she's gathered, and occasionally some assortment of baked goods if she's had time to prepare them. Also included are an assortment of useful little knick-knacks she's made, maybe even a weapon if she's feeling paranoid.
Weaknesses
Psychological Flaws...
I did what? - Yeah. Unfortunately Red has absolutely no control when the wolf takes over - she becomes a bloodthirsty monster who would (and...has, actually) slaughter her own true love without a single second thought or moment of recognition. Not only that - but she can't remember anything she did in wolf form. She could literally murder an entire village of people and not know a thing about it the next day.
I can totally do this...ON MY OWN. - Red has a tendency to rush into things without thinking, ignoring all rational advice due to her desire to be independent. This can very easily land her in a sticky situation.
Living Fairytale - Obviously, she's not exactly from around here. Or...anywhere at all like here, for that matter. Many modern day concepts and gadgets are likely to confuse her as a result - and of course, a part of her still wants to believe in things very fairytale-like things - such as happy endings.
Physical Flaws...
All them werewolf weaknesses! - You know your basic monster lore, and you pretty much know most of Red's physical weaknesses. She has an allergy to both silver and mercury, and if a weapon made of either of these pierces her skin it means trouble for her (admittedly, that's if you're fast enough to get close to her and strong enough to pierce through all that thick wolf-y fur). Cutting out and burning her heart (or otherwise destroying it) will also do the trick - and wolfsbane, of course.
I'm only human...some of the time - In her human form, Red's not spectacular in a fight. She's quick and she knows how to use a weapon (as far as hunting goes, at least) but...she certainly doesn't have any special powers.
Other Flaws...
Well basically, steal her cape during the full moon and she's screwed. ...Er...well, the people around her are, more like...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
History....
Red was born in a small village on the border of the Enchanted Forest - but after her mother died when she was very young, she was taken to live with her grandmother in an isolated cottage out in the woods. It wasn't a very...exciting lifestyle, to say the least. Red didn't exactly get the opportunity to make a lot of friends growing up, and she didn't get too venture too far away from home very often - only into the village occasionally. There, she did make one friend - Peter, a young hunter. The two of them grew up together, and occasionally even managed to sneak off on the odd adventure or two when Red's grandmother was busy. Peter taught her everything she knows about hunting and tracking. Eventually, as they both grew older, they began to harbor romantic feelings for each other - a relationship that Red's grandmother certainly didn't approve of, and made sure to keep her as busy as possible around their little farm to keep the two apart.
So why was dear ol' Granny so protective? Well, Red was always led to believe it was because of the wolf that stalked their village. But it wasn't just any ordinary wolf - it was a monstrously huge and horrifyingly intelligent one that (thankfully) only appeared during what the village called 'Wolf's Time' - the three nights of the full moon. The wolf terrorized the village, mostly killing livestock - though tales existed of it taking on entire large groups of hunters, being smart enough to disarm them and destroy their weapons before it slaughtered them all. Granny seemed especially terrified of the wolf, keeping herself and Red locked up at night and even going as far as to insist that Red wear her crimson-colored cloak at all times - red repels wolves, was what Granny always told her. Mostly, though, Red brushed this off as an old wives tale...and was often guilty of forgetting to wear the cloak.
One morning during Wolf's Time, while Red was checking to make sure none of their chickens had been taken by the wolf the night before, she stumbled across a stowaway of sorts in the hen house - a girl around Red's age who'd apparently been trying to steal some of the eggs. Upon questioning her, Red learned that the girl had been hiding because of the howling she'd heard during the night - and had only been intending to take two or three eggs because she was starving. The girl introduced herself as Mary initially (though her real name was Snow White), and after Red offered to help her out and give her a place to stay, the two became fast friends.
While going to fetch water from the well, however, Red noticed that the water was stained blood-red. Puzzled, she tried to draw Snow's attention to it - only to find the other girl traumatized by something Red herself had yet to notice. Following her gaze, however, she realized: the hunting party that had been formed the night before to hunt the wolf...were all lying dead on the ground, their throats torn out, the snow stained bright red with their blood.
A town meeting was called to discuss what to do about the wolf - surprisingly, Granny allowed Red and Snow to attend. Talk of forming an even larger, more powerful hunting party arose - that was, until Granny finally spoke up. Until she finally revealed an incident from her past involving a wolf that was evidently of the same breed as this one. Granny told of how she once lived with a very large family of her own - her father and her six brothers, all of them extremely large and well-built. They set out to take on the wolf to protect her. Granny had been told to stay inside, but she climbed up onto the roof to watch...as the wolf killed her entire family more quickly than any of them could scream. In her shock and terror, Granny had slipped and fallen off the roof and into her father's blood...where the wolf, towering over her, sunk its teeth into her arm...and then simply walked away. Granny revealed the large amount of scarring on her arm as proof of this. After this occurred, it seemed as if just about all plans of ever hunting this monster down finally faded from the minds of the villagers.
Granny, Red, and Snow White headed home - but once Granny busied herself with cooking, Red and Snow got to talking in private. Peter had been at the meeting earlier, and after seeing a brief few looks exchanged between him and Red, Snow had some questions. Red confided her growing feelings for Peter, and how they planned to run away together, but how Granny disapproved. While Snow agreed that it wasn't safe to be wandering off with the wolf around, she also told Red that it was wrong of her grandmother to use the wolf as an excuse to keep them apart. This statement...naturally gave Red the impulsive idea to go out and kill the wolf herself. She got it into her head that all the others who'd tried taking on the wolf had faced it at night, when it had the advantage - but if they could track it back to its den, they could kill it in its sleep.
When they set out to track the wolf, however, they found something very...odd about the pawprints in the snow it left behind. Eventually, these pawprints circled back around and headed towards town...turning into very distinctly human bootprints. And they led straight to Red's window. For whateverDERPYreason, their immediate assumption was that Peter was the wolf - because Peter had snuck up to Red's window the night before, talked to her briefly, and then ran off as night fell. Snow calmed Red down by suggesting that perhaps Peter was not not aware that he was the one responsible for all the attacks, and that if they told him, something could be done that would keep everyone - Peter included - safe. So, this being the third and final evening of the full moon, Red ran off to tell Peter...who, horrified, demanded that Red chain him to a tree to prevent him from harming anyone that night. Red agreed, comforting him with the promise that she would stay with him throughout the night.
Meanwhile, Snow went back to the cottage to fill Granny in on everything that had happened. Granny, however, was horrified that Peter had been left alone with Red...and chained to a tree with no hope of escape, no less. It was then that Granny, rushing to save Peter, revealed the truth to Snow: her husband (and therefore Red's grandfather) had been the original werewolf that had stalked the village. When he bit Granny in wolf form, he turned her as well - though most of her own wolfish symptoms had faded with age. The one thing she had retained, however, was her keen sense of smell - which she used to track Red and Peter. For it seemed that Red herself had inherited the werewolf gene - Red was the wolf responsible for the most recent attacks. Which meant that Peter was in big, big trouble.
Granny and Snow arrived on the scene too late, however - the wolf had already killed Peter. Before she could attack them as well, however, Granny shot her and threw the red cloak over her - effectively reverting Red to her human form. Initially, she was confused and disoriented...until she realized what she'd done. And what she was. Stunned and distraught, Red began to suffer something very akin to a panic attack - one that Granny and Snow had to very quickly shake her out of - it seemed that the villagers had decided to form a mob after all, and were headed their way. Granny quickly gave Red the cloak and convinced her to run - far, far into the woods. And she didn't stop running for quite some time, and SOMEHOW...through AM's senseless laws of space and time and random warps...she ended up...here?
