{Alternate title: The Condesce :] :] :]}
Arriving in a new world had done nothing good for Ravenna. Perhaps she would have taken it well, or at least better, if it hadn't followed her defeat at the hands of Snow White. At any rate, it was perhaps the worst fate the world could possibly concoct for the Queen. She had no kingdom, no servants beyond her own creations and it had become much more difficult to keep her beauty and power alive. She had to degrade herself to the point where she needed to sneak around and attack people instead of simply choosing the most beautiful person she could find and taking their beauty.
It was far from difficult, however, capturing people. Her magical abilities had suddenly become much more useful in this effort, since they allowed her to take different forms and disappear. Still, she never had to use her abilities in such a way... Yet, she certainly would rather resort to lowly tactics than grow old and lose her magic. Ravenna, after a bit of travelling, had eventually found herself in a town called Storybrooke. It was dark out, slightly windy and strangely calm. Ravenna hadn't really gone anywhere calm before, in this world. It was strange, seeing one of this world's streets almost totally empty.
The Queen looked around, taking note of everything around her. This was probably a normal-looking town, in this world. To Ravenna, it looked as futuristic as everywhere else. She knew that she needed to find somewhere to make her home, no matter how temporary it would be. She began her walk through the town, making sure to watch for people. She was suspicious of the new world. Her old world had dangers in it, certainly, but at least she was aware of them. There could be anything lurking about in this one... Perhaps even something able to kill her.

Being cooped up anywhere never sat well with Regina - perhaps it came from her mother's constant smothering throughout her childhood, or the many years she'd spent confined to the castle as King Leopold's wife. Staying in her home in Storybrooke, with Henry and Mithos and now Oswin, was far preferable to either of those things - but it didn't mean she was content to spend all of her time lingering around the house, even if she had plenty to keep her busy there. But taking a pleasant walk through Storybrooke wasn't entirely...well, pleasant these days, since she wasn't altogether fond of the way people tended to glare at her (or cautiously shuffle past at best). So late evenings had become Regina's favorite time to venture outside, when things had quieted down and a good chunk of Storybrooke's population had retreated to their homes.
Needless to say, she hadn't expected company. Particularly not in the form of a rather regal looking woman who...actually looked as though she could very easily be from the Enchanted Forest. Which wouldn't have been altogether out of place here (some people did prefer the styles and customs of their old home, now that the curse was broken) if it hadn't been for the fact that Regina was fairly certain she had never seen this woman in her life. Instinctively suspicious, she narrowed her eyes. Not only did the stranger look otherworldly - she looked like royalty, which meant that if she had been from the Enchanted Forest, Regina should have absolutely known her. Outsiders were not entirely uncommon in Storybrooke these days, much to her irritation on many occasions, but this...she'd never quite experienced anything like this before, and she wasn't sure whether to feel wary or curious. Ultimately she settled for an uneasy combination of the two, watching the woman for a moment longer before deciding it would be best to approach her and find out exactly who she was. And, more importantly, to determine whether or not she was a threat.
Briskly, Regina headed over to the other woman. At present, she herself could pass for any modern woman from this world - dressed in a blouse, a skirt, and a light jacket. But she carried herself in a way that, if this woman truly was royalty, she would no doubt be familiar with. A way that suggested authority - it was a mannerism she had not lost, not after she'd been dethroned as queen, not even after the curse had broken and she'd lost her 'official' position as mayor. She looked the stranger up and down briefly, raised her eyebrows, and paused. "...I don't believe I've seen you here before." The statement lingered with a pointed air of inquisitiveness - she wanted to know just who she was speaking to, and where she had come from.

It wasn't long before Ravenna heard a voice nearby her. Ravenna turned to the source of the voice, a woman clothed in what seemed to be the normal clothing of this time period. Yet, despite her unassuming, strange clothes, the woman carried herself in a way Ravenna was much more familiar with. This woman was, or at least had been, royalty. There was not a doubt in Ravenna's mind about that. The only problem was figuring out where to go from here. Certainly, she could simply take this woman's youth and leave her there, but... well, Ravenna needed to know more about the world she was in and killing royalty was hardly a good way of building a reputation. If Ravenna wanted to rule anything, she would have to become much more well-known than she was... and she would have to be known for her kindness.
"Ah... Hello." Ravenna said, her voice taking on an almost startlingly innocent, kind tone. It would be difficult, trying to come off as a kind person in her current state. Ravenna was wearing an all black dress, complete with a large, feathery black cape. She certainly didn't look the part of the kindly Queen... but that only meant she would have to act even kinder than usual. Ravenna looked the other woman over once again. She seemed almost overwhelmingly normal, for someone who carried herself in such a regal way. What a strange combination that was... normal clothes on a royal. Well, at least the clothes weren't anything close to what the peasants of Tabor wore. They seemed far more refined, at least for this world.
"My name is Ravenna and... I don't know where I am." She was, of course, playing the fool. She had been intelligent enough to know how to find out where she was, though she was still a bit unsure of the details of how she got there. Perhaps this woman could provide some insight into that. "I just arrived here, you see. I have no idea how I came to be here..." She wasn't exactly lying. Of course, she had no problem with lying, but she had no need to do so in this situation. Ravenna only wished she had thought to make herself unassuming - it would have been much easier to manipulate this woman that way.
