Bentley & Murray

[Sly Cooper]

IMPORTANT NOTE: A lot of Sly's heists and shit involve the full participation of his gang - it's hard to really play him without them, aand there are just going to be a lot more opportunities for him to be a lot more different places and involved in a lot more different things with them around. THAT BEING SAID, my NPCing of them will be as minimal as possible (for the most part, just binocucom communications and implying that they're helping out on a job or whatever), and they're both absolutely still available for apping in the meantime.

NPC Permissions: Anyone who's threading with them and has at least some knowledge of the characters, I guess.

Alias: N/A
Age: Twenty-seven.
Archetype: Anti-Hero

Personality: Perfectly content with only technology for company, it's thanks to his friends that Bentley's encouraged to...come out of his shell a bit, no pun intended :]. He's incredibly intelligent, and a bit too impatient to stop and simplify things - sometimes it's advisable to have a dictionary on hand if you're conversing with him. He's quite proud of his intellect, and doesn't really see the point of modesty - in fact, most of his personality is rather blunt and realistic in nature. Bentley's incredibly loyal, though. While he has more than enough skill to branch out on his own, and this has been pointed out to him several times, he's never once abandoned his friends - and when coaxed into relaxing enough, can even be rather casual around them.

Powers/Abilities/Equipment:

• Binocucom - Essentially functions the same way Sly's does, with one extra feature...
  
• Sleep Darts - He's equipped his binocucom to shoot them. They're a potent, but somewhat short-lived tranquilizer, typically subduing a target for only five to ten minutes.
  
• Trigger Bombs - He apparently has an on-hand supply of low-powered bombs. Bentley pls.
  
• Hover Pack - Equipped to his wheelchair, it'll carry him short distances.
  
• RC Chopper - A mini, remote control helicopter equipped with tiny bombs. Can only take limited damage.
  
• RC Car - A mini, remote control car equipped with a small cannon. Can only take limited damage.
  
• Wheel Extensions - Jut out from the wheels of his chair and spin around, knocking enemies back and doing some damage.
  
• Grapple-Cam - Tiny RC camera gadgets that can move around and grapple on to things. They also have a recording function.
  
• GENIUS INTELLECT :OOO - Bentley's a genius - that's not an exaggeration. He's one of the brightest minds out there, the one who orchestrates most of the Cooper gang's heists, and is usually one step ahead of their enemies.
  
• hackin u - With impressive hacking skills that have overcome many a security system, Bentley is an invaluable resource to his allies.
  
• look at this shit i invented - He invented most of the gadgets listed above, and a good many of his team mates' gadgets as well. And he's always coming up with new ideas.
  
  

Weaknesses:
Physically, Bentley is the weakest member of the Cooper Gang - he's small and less resistant to damage than either of the other two. Needless to say, he's not much of a fighter on his own. He was also paralyzed from the waist down several years ago, and is...confined to a wheelchair at the moment (though to his credit, he's made some modifications to it that make it less of a weakness than you might think). Mentally, his ego's a bit of a weak point, and one that his enemies have exploited in the past. He can be overconfident in some situations, and can even be goaded into recklessness.

Age: Twenty-seven.
Archetype: Anti-Hero

Personality: Murray is rather...excitable. He loves action, and even violence, and is never content to sit still for long - that, and in a sticky situation, he'd preferably punch first and ask questions later. He's a bit of an adrenaline junkie who fearlessly faces danger (to a very reckless extent), and can be rather over-dramatic while on the job. But Murray has a good heart - he's a bit of a dope, and tends to just kinda go right a long with whatever Bentley and Sly's plans are (as long as it's not boring), but he doesn't much care what other people think of him. The simple things in life make him happy - good food, good friends, and of course, adventure. He's often the member of the gang who's most underestimated, but he's capable of a lot more than people tend to realize.

Powers/Abilities/Equipment:

• punches u - Murray is incredibly strong. I mean...he's a hippo, so. He's been known to lift incredible amounts of weight, throw heavy objects (and people) around...you know, nbd.
  
• don't leave the van except 2 fite - He's a fantastically skilled boxer - that and his sheer, brute strength make him a formidable opponent in any fist fight.
  
• Durability - It kind of takes a lot to slow him down. In the end he's mortal, of course, but he can withstand a lot more pain and damage than a human can.
  
• i c u drivin round town - An expert driver, he's even competed in professional races. And he's a quick learner when it comes to devices other than cars - he's taken tanks and planes for a spin, for instance.
  
• Fists of Flame - A technique that actually sparks fire from his fists.
  
• Dreamtime Techniques - Awhile back, Murray journeyed to the Australian Outback in order to 'find himself', and learned these meditative techniques from a mystic guru. These include going into his near-indestructible 'ball form' as well as mild healing and hypnotic abilities.
  
• Binocucom - Works the same way as Sly's does.
  
• The Van - The Cooper Gang's big blue mystery machine van technically belongs to Murray - and he's the appointed driver.
  

Weaknesses:
While incredibly physically strong, Murray is probably the weakest...mentally of the team. He's not stupid, but he's rather - well, simple, and very easily provoked emotionally, and was especially prone to hypnosis when the Contessa subjected him to it. He's easily distracted, doesn't have much patience for things that he finds confusing, and has a bit of a temper. When provoked, he'll go charging right into any situation without a second thought.
