PLOT SUGGESTIONS

OKAY SO. We've had some requests for a new site plot, and, well. ASK AND YE SHALL RECEIVE. But since we want to build this on member input, we're giving you guys the chance to throw your ideas at us. After everyone who wants to contribute has done so, we'll have a poll to see which idea is the most popular.

Please keep in mind a few things. This is a site board plot, not an ICC plot - so remember that board canon and ICC canon can be quite different. Also, we're looking for ideas that are inclusive. They shouldn't just center on a few characters. But at the SAME TIME, they shouldn't have such a massive impact that it absolutely, unquestionably forces everyone to contribute - like, say, the aftereffects of a nuclear war (in Ukraine :]) that would effect the entire site environment.

That's about it. Anything goes!

oKAY well, for one thing, the Reaper's Game is going to be a thing once Kyt and I have everything all planned out - but that's going to take place in the UG and only affect a few people. So, that doesn't exactly count for what we're looking for.

Since I might be re-apping Jack Noir in the near future, maybe he could contribute something? He's definitely a big threat, being the second most powerful character in Homestuck. Jack Noir is pretty much going around destroying everything he can, and it would take a lot of effort to get him to stop doing that, so.... Maybe that could be a thing? Or maybe that would be too major for what we're looking for here?

I also have Pitch, Loki and Aizen is upcoming, and those three aren't exactly known for their lack of ~EVIL SCHEMES~, so maybe they could do a thing? I have no major ideas for them right now, but they exist and could possibly cause something like this. Abraham is also going to be a thing, so yeah... basically, my villains are all available for stuff like this! I guess Joshua could also do something, but he'll probably just do Reaper's Game stuff.

Also Klarion could probably cause some crazy stuff to happen if need be :] he's ~2spooky~ in what he can do with magic, so he could potentially go out of control and start up something spooky. But, again, no ~major ideas~.... YET :OOOO

I can offer Saya for spooky plot things! It would give me an excuse to actually use her for things instead of letting her rot in my reserves as I've been doing oop. Saya is 48spoky and is always happy to eat people and mutate people and be a disgusting tentacle monster. c:

But on a big scale, what she can offer is her ability to spore! Basically, once she's taken in a certain amount of dna from her target species - which is humans, in this case - she dies and releases spores everywhere, which will rapidly rewrite the genetic codes of all human life on the planet to turn them into her species. And turn everything else nearby into gross meat things.

And obvs, letting the whole world being sayafied would be too large-scale, but there's potential in having to stop her. Or even only managing to contain the spores to a certain city/region/country/etc, so that only the disposable npcs there get transformed...and then you'll have a small army of super-gross abominations who eat organs, turn people permanently insane on sight, most likely went completely bonkers from the painful transformation, and are extremely contagious. Those will need dealing with. :]

Especially if something containing the spores got leaked somehow so there's multiple outbreaks. Or an outbreak way later on when everyone thinks the problem's been dealt with.

[Master Xehanort]

I'm still working on my Xehanort NPC apps, but they should be done fairly soon.

And, as for 2spooky plot things, I am definitely up for offering Xehanort and his True Organization XIII (xeha exclusive 2hax 4 new members :] ) Once things get off the ground, Xehanort is definitely going to do the whole Kingdom Hearts deal with AM, so that could also be a potential thing. Besides that, he's good with joining in any other potential schemes. Not to mention his twelve other selves; so, you've p much got a small army of Xehanorts up for grabs, here.

With Kingdom Hearts's "multiple worlds" dealio, I doubt there's much more inclusive you could possibly get. Plus, if Xehanort's gonna help cause trouble with any plot things, you can bet he's gonna involve the Heartless, which just gives more baddies for people to fITE IRL.

I have a suggestion. "The Trials of the Crawling Chaos" or some such.

Nyarlathotep begins to play with the inhabitants of AM, which he has casually claimed as a sort of personal playground. He begins opening portals to a variety of strange and bizarre, letting lose strange abominations, changing the weather or geography in a certain location, realigning the stars or some such, you know, generally ominous things. From there, several threads could be opened, where several PCs would attempt to solve and close the gates and remedy the cosmic portents issued fourth by Gnarly's direct or indirect influence. These could be run by him, or simply by a special NPC account that those incharge of the plot would have access to and be able to use to describe locations. Failing that, people not in charge of the plot could simply cHOOSE THEIR OWN ADVENTURE and have fun bro times within another ~world~. Ultimately, Gnarly's goal is the awakening of some Gr8 Old Ones or whatever sort o evil thing he could be up to, though of course, it'll all be primarily for his amusement.

ROUGH OUTLINE IS ROUGH but it's a thing that could happen and be as intrusive or quiet as we need it.

oKAY I might as well throw some ideas at this while it's still open.

• Awhile ago, we talked about a power-swapping sort of deal. Where people's powers get misplaced, or more accurately, temporarily given to other people. I think this'd be a fun little thing to try out because there'd definitely be conflict on both sides - people with abilities would have to adjust to not having them, while the people who received said abilities would struggle with controlling powers they may know nothing about. This might even work better (and be somewhat more hilarious) as a body swap event - I don't know. It likely wouldn't last that long, so it's probably not MAIN SITE PLOT materal, but I thought I'd toss it out there. Not everyone would have to participate, of course - but at the same time, it's the kind of thing that could fit as many people into it as needed.
  
  
• Remember daemon day in the ICC? What if we structured an entire site event around it? With all the rifts opening up, maybe some shift occurs - and maybe only some people are especially prone to it, or it only occurs in a certain region - but people's souls are split from their bodies and made into a corporeal, 'daemon'-like form. Now, this could create several ~opportunities for plots~. For the people who are affected, it's going to be quite an adjustment - especially since some people, when faced with their souls, may not always like what they see. But, even the people who don't want their characters to get daemons could get involved. Maybe something goes wrong - people in this world aren't meant to be split from their souls, after all - maybe issues start to develop, like people start to get 'sick' or, because of exposure (or something we can flesh out later) their souls start to fade. Then an effort would have to be put together to fix the problem. Idk, this one would need a lot of work - but it's an idea that seemed to interest people, so.
  
  
• I WOULD PERSONALLY ENJOY some kind of mass hysteria plot, if one only confined to a certain area (we could always 'stop it' before it spreads too far, or - something that may be especially hard on our characters - establish a sort of 'quarantine' in one area for those who have been infected/what have you). Instead of a 'big bad' or evil force a bunch of characters team up to fight, this would be something more subtle, more deadly - and the symptoms of whatever outbreak we decide on could be something of our own imagining. Something that drives our characters mad? Turns them on their friends? Or just sickens them at an alarming rate - maybe gives them weird mutations or dangerous abilities or something? What I really like about this idea is the paranoia and the subtlety of not knowing who's infected, not knowing which of your loved ones may turn next - BUT even so, I'd be cool with even using Kyt's idea for this? and by that i mean her vampire angel plot :]
  
  EDIT: What I also like about this idea is that literally anyone could get involved. If we assume whatever virus/what have you that is spreading nullifies any healing defenses a character might have and infects all species, this would create a rare opportunity for heroes, villains - and even neutrals who typically couldn't care less - to be thrown into the same boat. It's an opportunity to involved those more 'overlooked' fandoms and get them working with the rest of the characters. So I think that's cool.
