Category: Video Game
Ranking: Neutral
Reason for being on AM: Post-Monolith timeline, six years after the Point Man’s ending
Basic Details
Age: 36
Species: Enhanced Human
Physical Appearance:
The Point Man is a rather intimidating for a... deceptively normal-looking human. He stands in at around 6’0” (183 cm) and weighs about 216 lbs (98 kg). His body type is average at a first glance, though there is a substantial amount of powerful muscles lying beneath that “average” exterior. The Point Man’s skin is rough, somewhat similar to the surface of a rock though not nearly as strong - obviously. He has a hardened expression, violent even, chiseled into his face from all that he’s been through, and has a short black beard that only makes him look even rougher around the edges. His black hair is short and shaggy, and seems to be greying just a tad.
Having long since abandoned his F.E.A.R. outfit, the Point Man now wears attire that doesn’t seem out of the ordinary for civilians. He wears a dark grey shirt underneath a black jacket, tucked into a pair of navy jeans that are held up by a brown leather belt. His hands are garbed in fingerless black gloves, the backs sporting an exposed square patch, and dark brown hiking boots.
Unnoticed by most people is a shoulder holster that contains a sidearm - he is never found without it.
Personality: The Point Man is a silent, stoic character, which is all thanks to his upbringing under Project: ORIGIN. Like his brother and mother, he is quite vengeful against the likes of Armachan and Armachan personnel - unlike them, however, he has learned not to let the past hold him back from moving on. It is for this reason that he took in Alma's third child and attempt to raise the girl on his own, his hopes being to rectify the mistake that he and the rest of the Wade family embodied. Aside from this, in normal civilian interaction he does seem to be rather docile, though remains as stoic as ever. He is fiercely protective of his half-sister, and is not above employing drastic measures in order to assure her safety. It is also because of his concern for her that he keeps her rather sheltered, at least until she matures enough to control her latent psychic powers.

"The past is no longer in our way..."
The Point Man was drawn from his own thoughts by a familiar voice; looking up, he saw it to be his ghost of a brother, sitting across from him on a dusty old mattress.
For the first time since he had known him, Fettel looked very... calm. Indeed, the past no longer continued to haunt them: the Creep, the remaining influence of Harlan Wade, was no longer a thorn in their side. No longer a plague to their mother. Fairpoint had been destroyed in the process, turned into a veritable Hell, but the two made it through to the end. As much as he loathed to admit it... he couldn't have done all of this on his own.
His focus soon turned towards the open doorway of the desolate holding room, fixated upon the distant cries of their mother. He knew exactly what was happening, and no doubt his brother did as well... Turning his head back around, he was greeted with the sight of an almost exuberant Fettel.
"It's happening... Let's go to her!" The ghostly image of his brother stood; had he not known better, the Point Man would have thought his brother to be not unlike an exicted child. "This is something we must see..."
He only watched as his brother departed, going on to welcome the newest member of the family to the world. The Point Man didn't know what would happen within the next few moments, but what he did know was that whatever decision he made would affect the world as he knew it...
If that was the case... he was going to put an end to all of this.

Powers & Abilities
“His reflexes are off the charts...”
The Point Man has unbelievable reflexes, described as being “faster than a cat on an adrenaline burst”. To the outside, he appears to be moving far faster than even most modern tracking equipment can keep up with - to him, everything is simply moving in slow motion.
"I know who you are..."
Due to his origins, the Point Man can interact (meaning shoot) with psychic phenomena just by being aware of such occurrences.
“I hope you remember your flight training...”
The Point Man possesses a variety of skills relating to armed conflict. While he does prove to be an exceptional marksman, the Point Man also has extensive training in flying various aircrafts, driving vehicles, and even piloting power armor or mechs. He is also very capable of neutralizing a threat in close quarters.
”I can’t believe you survived that...”
The Point Man is extremely resilient, having survived several instances where any normal human should have died. Never mind the fact that he had always just gotten up from said instances and continued on as if nothing happened.
To put this in perspective: he survived the tail ends of a nuclear explosion.

Main/Important Equipment
Strader Mk.VII
Ammunition: .40-cal, Smith & Wesson
Magazine Size: 12 rounds
Spare Cartridges: 2
Weaknesses
Psychological Flaws...
Because of all of the experiments done on him to turn him into a “Psychic Commando” - and the fact that it failed - the Point Man can no longer speak. Or make a sound at all. While this could be seen as an advantage (can’t make a sound, therefore can’t accidentally give away his position by, I dunno, breathing too hard or something), it can also serve as a severe disadvantage. Such as being unable to let someone know that a grenade’s been thrown.
The Point Man doesn’t concern himself with anything other than keeping his half-sister safe; the rest of the world can burn for all he cared. If you can guarantee his sister’s safety and the Point Man can agree with that, it’s very, very easy to get him on your side.
Another thing: once he’s on your side and you give him an order, he will fulfill that order no matter what. He is very single-minded like that.
Physical Flaws...
The Point Man has received immense amounts of training, and with his reflexes and durability he is overall stronger, faster, and more resilient than any normal human. That said, he is still human. He is not bulletproof, just as prone to mistakes as any other human, gets tired just like any human, et cetera. He is a God among Men, but he is still just a Man.
A Man that can shoot his way through an army of clone troopers, but that’s beside the point.
Other Flaws...
N/A

History....
The Point Man is a former member of a First Encounter Assault Reconnaissance special forces detachment, and the first son of the powerful psychic entity Alma Wade.
Born under the careful surveillance of Armachan Technology Corporations as a part of Project: ORIGIN, he was deemed a failure in regards to psychic prowess. Instead of being disposed of, however, his reflexes - which, even as a child, were phenomenal - recieved further surgical enhancement to mold him into the perfect killing machine.
Unbeknownst to him at the time, his prowess was put to the test in light of the uprising of Paxton Fettel, a psychic commander that the Point Man was originally intended to be. During his first mission as a F.E.A.R. operative, he was plagued by numerous psychic phenomena and hallucinations, but nonetheless he pushed onward. Soon, he confronted and killed Fettel, but not before his blood ties to both Fettel and Alma were revealed - moments later, a nuclear detonation was triggered, with the Point Man barely surviving the blast.
Sometime during a nine-month interim, the Point Man was captured and interrogated by Armachan. With the assistance of the departed Fettel's ghost, the Point Man traversed the crumbling city of Fairpoint in order to reunite with Alma, whose birth contractions were tearing the place apart. At the end of his journey, he found himself at odds with Fettel upon the fate of their newborn sister; the Point Man himself was given the task of killing the baby and preventing any future phenomena. He was eventually forced to kill Fettel to complete his mission, but ultimately he did not execute the child - instead, he spared his newborn sister from a similar fate to Alma, Fettel and himself, and chose to raise her as his own.
Six years later, the two are the only remaining members of the cursed Wade family, remaining off the grid and in hiding from the ever-persistent Armachan forces. The Point Man's only mission is the protection of the only family he has left, and the assurance that she will not suffer the same fate as their mother...
