Powers & Abilities

• Nigh Omnipotence/Omniscience [Dark Dimension]: As with most of the beings who rule over their own dimension, Dormammu has absolute power within the Dark Dimension. Not only is he capable of doing just about everything, but he knows all that occurs within his dimension. If someone were to enter his dimension uninvited, he would know immediately.
  
  
• Dread Lord: As the ruler of a dimension, Dormammu has access to a massive variety of creatures ready to do his bidding. These creatures are generally demonic, with superhuman strength, speed and durability as well as either limited magical power or control over flames - or both, if the demon is powerful enough. Besides command over the demons of his realm, Dormammu also has access to the Mindless Ones - creatures whose sole purpose is to destroy. They were set loose on Dormammu's realm for the purpose of destroying it... but, this proved to be a bad idea. Dormammu imprisoned the Mindless Ones and now uses them as engines of destruction. The Mindless Ones are incredibly strong and durable, and they are capable of firing a destructive laser from the single massive eye located in the center of their face. They are, however, very slow.
  
  
• Sorcery: As one of the most powerful beings in his universe, Dormammu has incredible skill in the Mystic Arts. He has stated that, even without the omnipotence granted to him by his dimension that his power is equal to Odin himself, as well as many other powerful deities. While that may very well have been simply his ego talking, Dormammu's skill in sorcery is even greater than Doctor Strange, Earth's Sorcerer Supreme.
  
  • Flames of the Faltine: More of an innate ability than something he had to train with - Dormammu has total control of the Flames of the Faltine. This means he is capable of summoning a magical fire that is totally under his control. It cannot be put out unless Dormammu wishes it to, and can be shaped into nearly physical forms. For instance, he is capable of creating "meteors" of pure fire, as well as other constructs. When beginning a battle, this is the ability he will start out with, since it is the easiest for him to use.
    
    
  • Mystic Bolts: Dormammu can throw basic mystic bolts, as almost all practitioners of magic can. Due to his prowess with magical, even simple bolts from Dormammu are capable of causing massive damage - at full power, they would likely be able to destroy a planet, or at least a moon. However, going at full power can cause Dormammu to tire quickly. So, despite the planet-smashing potential of his blasts, he has never used them at their full power. At the most, he uses them at a level where they could level a city - and even then, that's just excessive.
