At his core, Aizen is purely manipulative and cruel. There is not a soul on Earth or anywhere else that he wouldn't tear apart to see his goals accomplished. Friendship, romance and any other valuable relationships are totally lost on him, all swept away in a whirl of absolutely determination and pride. Aizen is not the sort of person who allows others to get in his way, and nor is he the type to turn down the chance at making it seem like he's making friends with someone. Deception is practically Aizen's trademark, and it shows in his personality. An entire lifetime lived using people for his own benefit has taught Aizen only one real lesson - the only real way to get forward in life is through cruelty.

You would hardly be able to tell any of this from Aizen's demeanor. He enjoys making himself seem like a polite, refined and almost kind individual, with a taste for art and the "finer things" in life. Much of this is actually try - by no means is Aizen a savage. Although he has grown to enjoy manipulating and tormenting others, he hardly ever does it without a sense of nonchalant class - especially when confronted by those who hate him. Not only does Aizen realize that being totally calm and uncaring in the face of one who hates him infuriates them, but he uses it, just like he uses everything else. It's hardly a facade, however, as Aizen truly doesn't care about his so-called enemies. They're just obstacles to him, and the only thing that can be done to an obstacle is eliminating it. There's no need to yell at it or get dramatic. Though, he does tend to amuse himself by toying with the emotions his enemies from time to time.

Unlike many others in Soul Society, Aizen has no sense of "honor" and carries no real morals with him. In fact, he seems to believe that both of those things are below him, and that they would only get in his way if he were to have them. Because of this decision, Aizen doesn't care about taking the "easy way out" during a battle. He certainly has no qualms with cheating, as evidenced by basically every battle he's been in. If Aizen sees an easier way of doing something difficult, he'll most likely do it no matter how "low" it would make others view him... unless, of course, it tarnishes his own image. Although he seems to care very little for what others think of him, as evidenced by how often he cheats, Aizen is actually exceptionally prideful.... but in a very strange way. He acknowledges that he isn't the best, but at the same time he believes that he could very well be the best... mostly by cheating and what have you.

In fact, Aizen's goal was originally to usurp the Soul King himself and become the most powerful being in his universe. Now? Well... it goes without saying that his goals have become grander in a world like this. Suffice to say, no matter where he is, Aizen will always crave power beyond that which can be obtained by normal means... even in the sort of world where the definition of "normal" changes with each passing day.

Powers & Abilities

• Genius Intellect: To the surprise of many, Aizen's most deadly skill is his intellect. His mental abilities are was made him capable of everything he's done - not his physical abilities. To start with, Aizen is a skilled scientist, having utilized Soul Society's resources to study and train in a wide variety of scientific fields, many of which aren't known to humans. His experiments have, primarily, resulted in success, which is what led to the creation of his most powerful item - the Hōgyoku. Aizen is not only good in scientific fields, but he's proven to be highly competent in strategy and tactics. He's fully aware of every strategy used by those in Soul Society and, with enough research, he's capable of figuring out other tactics as well. Learning his enemy's skills, mindset and tactics during battle is Aizen's trademark. With enough planning, Aizen was capable of taking down a whole group of Soul Society captains and Visoreds without any visible effort. Aizen has also proven to be a master of manipulation, and he is willing to go to ridiculous lengths to ensure that his manipulation. His plans are clearly well-constructed and thought out, with every detail put in perfectly to ensure that everything will go as he wants it to.
  
  
• Kidō Master: After many long years of study, Aizen has become extraordinarily well-versed in Kido, which is a form of Shinigami combat utilizing "spells" that primarily manipulate some form of energy. Although it is difficult to perform Kido without using at least some form of incantation, Aizen is capable of using Kido up to level 99 without speaking a word. This doesn't come without it's flaws, however, as without an incantation all Kido spells from 90-99 are only at a third of their initial strength. Anything below 90, however, remains at it's full, devastating power. It is important to note that even the lowest-level Kido spell can prove to be devastating in the hands of someone powerful - and Aizen is certainly powerful. Kido comes in three forms - Bakudo / Barriers or Seals, Hado / Offensive spells and Kaido / Healing spells. Aizen happens to be a master of all three. To elaborate, Bakudo is the creation of energy shields or seals, the shields being for blocking and the seals being for capturing or detaining opponents. Hado, on the other hand, includes spells for directly attacking other people. It usually takes the form of energy beams or constructs of some sort. Unlike Hado and Bakudo, Kaido does not come in the form of multiple spells. It is, instead, reliant on the spiritual energy of the user. Kaido heals both the spiritual energy and physical form of the injured, making it exceptionally useful when used in battles against other Shinigami.
  
  
• Immense Strength: Time and time again, Aizen has proven that his strength measures beyond that of most Shinigami. Against other Shinigami, he has managed to effortlessly block a wide range of Bankai and Shikai attacks with his bare hands - and even sometimes with just a single finger. Without a doubt, Aizen is strong enough to knock out normal humans with a single blow or casually stab through someone with his hand alone. In essence, Aizen's strength is a force to be reckoned with, even without the rest of his abilities.
  
  
• Immense Spiritual Power: Aizen's spiritual power is an ability in and of itself. Why? Releasing even a bit of it can bring an Arrancar, and a decently powerful one at that, to his knees. To elaborate, releasing his spiritual power spreads an oppressive feeling that, when released fully or to a certain level, can actually destroy someone. Besides destruction, it appears that he can weaken or even totally nullify the abilities of others just by releasing his energy. Although he may have been boasting, Aizen has stated that it takes a great deal of effort to not just kill everyone around him with spiritual energy alone - not to mention his comment that his power is superior to all of the Espada combined.
  
  
• Master Swordsman: When faced with a certain amount of Soul Society Captains and Visoreds, Aizen demonstrated incredible skill with a blade... and then, once his illusion faded away, he proved that he was capable of taking them out without even trying. His skill with a sword, while not without equal, is superb. He is capable of easily slicing through other swords, even when said swords are in upgraded forms.
  
  
• Shunpo Master: Although usually nothing to take excessive note of, Aizen's skill with shunpo, a Shinigami technique {also known as "flash step"} that allows the user to move so quickly that they can't be seen, is incredible. He has been shown to use Shunpo in a manner so casual that dodging Bankai-level attacks seems like nothing to him. He is also capable of outrunning or catching up to other people's Shunpo moves... and usually following it up with a surprise attack.
  
  
• Hakuda Master: Hakuda is a style of combat that requires no weapon, using purely physical blows to attack an opponent. Even without a weapon, Aizen is a highly skilled fighter. As mentioned before, he has caught and broken the swords of other people using sheer strength alone... but if he were to really be disarmed and forced into utilizing Hakuda, he would display incredible agility and mastery of Hakuda. It should be noted that, instead of relying on his sword alone, Aizen will frequently combine physical blows with sword attacks.

Main/Important Equipment

• Kyōka Suigetsu: Pre-Release, Aizen's sword is merely a normal katana with nothing special to it. However, Aizen has achieved both Shikai and Bankai...
  • Shikai: Aizen's Shikai's ability is known as "Kanzen Saimin" or, in English, Complete Hypnosis. If one is exposed to this ability, which means watching the sword being released or otherwise looking at the release, their senses will be under Aizen's complete control. Because, this communicates to creating intensely realistic illusions, which are often used in his schemes. The illusions cannot generally be detected, but Retsu Unohana was capable of telling that there was something off with one of them.
    
    
  • Bankai: Not yet revealed.
    
  
  
• Hōgyoku: The Hogyoku, which resembles a small, glowing crystal, is one of the most powerful objects in Aizen's world - possibly the most powerful. It's primary ability is taking the strongest desires of the user and making them manifest. One ability it has already picked up is the ability to convert Hollows into Arrancar and Shinigami into Hollows. This ability surfaced due to Kisuke Urahara's desires. As for Aizen's desire... well, that has yet to be seen. Let it be known, however, that the Hogyoku is the most valuable object Aizen possesses.
  
  
• Caja Negacion: A Caja Negacion is a small, black cube that traps it's target in a nigh-inescapable alternate dimension. Many powerful people, such as the high-ranking Espada, were capable of escaping the dimension. Aizen has several of these at his disposal, with more being created each day.
  
  
• Reiatsu Concealing Cloak: A cloak that hides the user's Spiritual Energy. It's simple enough, really.
  

Weaknesses

^{Psychological Flaws...}

• power corrupts :OOOO: If Aizen were to gain the extreme amount of power he desires, he would lose much of his cunning and intellect. Not in the sense that he wouldn't still have it, but in the sense that he just wouldn't... see any reason to use it. Meaning that he would rush into everything trying to utilize brute force instead of making full use of the deception he's so well-known for. This is, of course, a problem when he refuses to plan ahead and rushes into something too powerful for him to handle ... but only if he does gain that sort of power.
  
  
• 2evil: Once again, Aizen has abandoned all forms of "morals" in exchange for the ability to deceive and torment others without remorse. This is a flaw because it turns making allies into a difficult task.... and in a world like this one, allies are useful to even the more powerful folk.
  
  
• casually manipulates everyone: Aizen's penchant for manipulation can lead to trouble. It certainly isn't impossible to see past it - Gin Ichimaru was capable of doing so, though it should be noted that Gin is also incredibly intelligent. In a world like this one, Aizen's manipulation and deceit will inevitably be spotted - though it will take someone just as cunning, or moreso, to figure it out.

• mortal and stuff idk: Aizen can die like all other Shinigami! What an exciting, memorable and over-all unique weakness to have, wouldn't you agree?
  
  
• feel the power of my... mAaAaAaAgIc: Against both Kido and foreign forms of magic, Aizen can be bested. He is certainly not the greatest Kido user in existence, as evidenced by being incapable of non-verbally performing level 90 Kido. As for other forms of magic, well... he hasn't seen any of them! They will be strange and somewhat difficult for him to deal with, at least upon the first encounter.
