Commonly-Used Abilities:

• Nigh-Omnipotence: Lucifer has proven to have an immense, indescribable amount of power. Being the second archangel ever created and formerly God's favorite archangel, Lucifer's power is only exceeded by his brother Michael, Death and God himself in his universe. Lucifer has proven that his power is not limited by location and even when he was trapped in Hell he kept a minimal presence on Earth. Basically, this means that Lucifer can do pretty much anything with almost no limits. If there even are limits, they are not yet known.
  
  
• Immortality: Lucifer's lifespan is infinite. As such, he cannot be destroyed through old age nor disease or poisons. Like all archangels, he doesn't require food or water. One interesting thing to note is that despite the fact that most angels don't need to sleep, Lucifer's shell is not his true shell and therefore it must rest. Despite almost nothing being able to kill him, there are some things that can do it. God and Death could both kill Lucifer easily and Michael is on equal footing with him in terms of power. An archangel blade can also kill Lucifer.
  
  
• Angelic Possession: All angels need a vessel {a possessed human} to roam the Earth. Lucifer, despite his immense power, is no exception. However, he is... a special case. For one thing, his true vessel is Sam Winchester. Sam is the only human who can truly house Lucifer... if he's drank enough demon blood. Any vessel Lucifer takes needs two things: To drink demon blood and give him permission to possess them. Once someone is possessed, there is no way out of it unless Lucifer gives them up willingly.
