These are the powers for the Vampires on our site. We made these rules to avoid confusion amongst the players and to keep the Vampire characters fair. Remember, every vampire is different, not all of them have great telepathic powers, or godlike psychokinetic abilities. Some are stronger, some are faster. It's just the way things are.
Vampire: Vampires are eternal and ageless beings originally created by an equally eternal though far more powerful force. These inhuman creatures are incapable of producing children, instead they are able to transform humans into other Vampires. As these creatures age their bodies and minds become stronger. They gain abilities such as telepathy and various forms of psychokinesis, these abilities also become stronger as they age.
Powers:
Immortality: Since the moment of the transformation the Vampire stops aging and becomes immune to all human diseases.
Regenerative Healing Factor: A function of the Vampires immortality. They are able to regenerate physical damage at a superhuman rate. They are incapable of regenerating missing limbs or organs however they are able to replace them with others that they can find either from other Vampires or human victims.
Superhuman Senses: True Vampires can see in total darkness as if it was a clear sunny day, something at over a few hundred feet appears as though it is right in front of their face. their sense of hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, enabling them to hear sounds that an ordinary human can't and to be able to hear sounds that an ordinary human can, but at much greater distances. They can memorize tens of thousands of scents and track them to the exact location, smell fear, and detect if someone is lying by change in body odor.
Mental Abilities: Vampires posses great mental powers to charm and confound human beings. These powers begin weak and grow with age. They are able to read emotions and thoughts, cloak themselves in illusion and, in extreme cases of power, utterly crush the will of humans turning them into mindless slaves.
Psychokinesis: Vampires are utterly incapable of using magic. Instead they are gifted with the ability to affect the world through the power of their minds. These powers resemble magic but are not and are generally limited to a single form. The rarest of these is true telekinesis which allows the movement of any object with the power of the mind, other less rare abilities such as pyrokinesis, chlorokinesis, and aerokinesis also exist.
Transformation: Vampires generally retain the appearance of their former human selves, however in this form a vampire lacks most of their physical enhancements. When the Vampire transforms, their skin becomes deathly pale, their fingernails grow into cruel, razor sharp claws, and their fangs extend. Vampires extend their fangs, but don't need to fully transform to feed.
Superhuman Strength: Within the first year of the transformation a Vampires strength reaches the peak of human capability(800 lbs) after which the Vampires strength increases as they age. Generally settling at around 2-3 tonnes.
Superhuman Speed: Vampires can typically run at about 45 mph. With practice a Vampire will be capable of dodging bullets, though very few would be capable of weaving through a hail of gunfire.
Superhuman Stamina: Vampires can generally remain calmly active for the entire night. They can last about three hours during strenuous activity but it varies from vampire to vampire depending on their age.
Superhuman Agility: Comparable to speed.
Superhuman Reflexes: Comparable to speed.
Superhuman Durability: Vampires are extremely durable and have vast tolerance for pain. However, they are vulnerable to piercing and slashing weapons.
Weaknesses: The Vampires primary weaknesses are of human spiritual energy, or faith.
The Sun: Since the beginning of civilization, the sun has always been the most powerful object of human faith. Merely feeling the rays of the sun will sear and eventually incinerate a vampire. Older vampires are weaker to the sun and burn more quickly. However, indirect sunlight (as in the case of heavy overcast) is only mildly painful to vampires, but if they spend too much time in indirect light they will develop a condition similar to human sunburn.
Objects of Faith: An object that has been blessed by a priest or other religious guru will harm and repel vampires. Vampires cannot step onto hallowed ground and can be repeled by a priest simply saying the name of the lord. When in the presence of a Vampire the object will glow with white fire. These objects will burn the vampire on contact and weaken them rapidly.
Dogwood: The wood from which The Cross was made from. Driven through the flesh it can cause debilitating pain and if driven through the heart it can cause nearly instant death.
Fire: The flesh and bone and muscle of Vampires is much more flammable than that of ordinary mortals and catches fire much more quickly.
Beheading: Nothing, not even a Vampire, can survive a beheading.
Magic: Vampires are unable to channel magical energy the way that humans are.
