Kaly's attention had drifted back to the water when Narret pulled away to undress for the bath. Her fingers were drawing little circles and swirls in the clear liquid, but only for a few seconds until Kaly turned back around to check on the girl.
Although she managed to keep her face mostly devoid of any great reaction, her insides roiled with surprise and anger. The girl's body was covered in scars of many different shapes and types - Burns, cuts, needle holes. There were too many to count, and in many places one couldn't even tell where the beginnings and ends were. What angered Kaly, however, was that each scar was precise. There were no accidental ones. The lines were too fine, too cleanly made. The burns too perfectly placed.
Who could do such a thing, to such a little child? A sweet, harmless little girl... Not only devoid her of all affection, but cause such pain to her fragile little body... Gods, it was hard for her to believe that such cruel people existed in the world... But the proof was right in front of her eyes.
She swallowed down her emotional responses as the little girl spoke, replacing it all with her serene smile as she offered Narret a hand, "Are you ready to go in the water, sweetheart?"

Narret was glad, really really glad that Kaly didn't change from her lines. Her sad face changed to that of a small smile and a quick nod. She quickly removed her baggy pants, revealing that her legs were just as bad as the rest of her. Heck in some places it looked like she was lucky to still be walking, before she quickly climbed into the tub. The small girl let out a content sigh as the soothing warm water met with the rest of her body, the child sinking her tiny body below the water till only her head was exposed. Her hair cascading around her in the water as she looked up to the grey eyed angel. "Y-y-y-you w-w-were r-r-r-right! T-t-t-this f-f-f-feels n-n-nice!" The little girl cheered out as she began to hum to herself, with no real pattern or tune just simple joy at something others viewed as a simple activity or even a chore to do.

Kaly took the few seconds Narret had taken to remove the rest of her clothing to calm herself down, looking away and closing her eyes. Deep breath in... Deep breath out. When she was sure she wasn't going to cry or rant and rave about what kind of monsters could do this to a young girl, she turned back to Narret and giggled at her antics.
"Well, I'm glad you're enjoying it!" She said, scooping up some water and letting it move over the top of Narret's head, "I've always enjoyed baths, myself... Just something about water has always been comforting to me." She sat back with a maternal smile, letting Narret enjoy the water for a few minutes longer before she gestured towards the soaps and shampoos.
"We're going to use those to clean you up," She informed, in case Narret didn't know. She grabbed a little rag and a soap bottle, setting it down on the edge next to her, "Just let me know when you're done playing, okay?"
