Naradan sighed he had been in the library for at least 2 days since he had suddenly appeared in the midst of a bunch of angry dead things. Very shocking pop into existence, when your expecting to be bound into some summoning circle with some human staring intently at you trying to get you to submit so they can get a wish or make a deal for their immortal soul.
Instead your surrounded by a mob of bloody angery people who are looking at you like a fresh roast. Very disconcerting to say the least, she shook his head and banished the thought from his mind. In the last 2 days he had managed to go through the "Big book of Words." and a few history books, he knew most of what had transpired concerning global events, he still couldn't find anything on the angry fish which was kind of irritating. But he hadn't gone through the whole new York public library either, he'd only ended up in a small section of it.
He slid off the top of the book shelf and landed with a soft clatter his coat billowing slightly upon landing with the hard stone flagged floors. He began looking around in the pitch darkness and found an empty bag shaped thing with several different pouches.
It felt strange, it was made of some alien material. It didn't have any way to open like a button or tie. Instead there were strange bands with metal rings that seemed to seal it somehow.
Nara began fiddling with the bands trying to understand how they worked but it was beyond him. He shrugged, well since no one was going to claim the magically closing bag he might as well take it with him. He grabbed the bag and stuff several books into it, one was a book of meaning (encyclopedia.), a book of history (History text book), a book with strange pictures on it ( How to read), and a book with pretty scribblings (how to write.).
He fiddled with the straps on the bag but couldn't figure them out so he carried the thing over his shoulder. It was very uncomfortable but whatever. He moved towards a back entrance away from the piranha. (some word he had seen in the big book of meaning, all he had really understood is it was a really bitty fish. and the things outside sure liked biting things so to him they were piranha.)
Just as he passed a big circular desk with heavy wood on his way out. "Wait a second young man aren't you going to check those out."
"*huhh.....*" He paused for a minute completely confused a blank look on his innocent face as he turned and walked over to the desk. He saw a young woman with glasses sitting at a desk with a strange glowing box next to her.
"Are you new here young man? Don't you know your supposed to check those books in your bag out." She said with a slightly peevish expression on her face as she motioned for him to put his bag down in front of her.
She took a strange shaped wand, over some weird bar shaped things on the book covers.
Naradan smiled vaguely and decided to let the woman do what she pleased, One it would draw less attention than murdering her and second it would give him something else to contemplate about this strange place.
"Do you have a library Card?" She asked after scanning the books.
Nara was completely taken aback, this woman had survived a swarm of angry fish inside of a library and she was demanding a strange thing he didn't understand. Why would a piece of paper be important? was his first question and why the *****<****** did he need one in the first place.
He shook his head slowly wondering if she was going to attack him for trying to steal these tomes. "Well we can take care of that since your new here." she said vaguely before reaching down and began making him a library card after suffing the books back into the empty backpack for the boy who didn't seem to understand them. What a strange child....ohh well things have gotten really strange lately
the whole process took about 5 minutes and afterwords she let the boy leave by pointing him to a big sign that seemed to leave out the back instead of the front door. "go that way you'll be less likely to get chomped and close the door behind you." she called back going back to stamping her books with a small pounding thing.
He continued towards the back door that had a shinny glowing sign that read (Exit) though he didn't know what it meant. He made his way down the alley the bag digging in uncomfortably from the heavy tomes inside. He really couldn't figure the thing out there were too many containers, and not enough space, and the straps made no sense to him. ((backpack))
Naradan threw it off his shoulder and decided to use the two straps as a carrying method to hold the bag as he walked. It didn't make things easier but it didn't hurt as much. He continued to walk as his stomach growled uncomfortably. He wanted to eat but he didn't know what was food here, he was used to beef steaks something along that line. He couldn't read the flashy signs overhead and there were too many piranha outside for him to really want to risk it. His headache told him to avoid the bitting fish, and he had long ago learned to listen to his headache.
*Why is it that every thing in this *****hole have to be so messed up.* he murmured to himself in Latin. He continued to walk down the alley way unaware of anything around him. He was more interested in finding out what humans in this place ate, he was very much wanting to settle his gluttony at least for a while. His coat billowed behind him as he walked the empty alley way. His lost to the new fascination of this strange land he now had to call home "for the time being"

It had been a long day. In the time since she'd woken up that morning, Anya Jenkins had managed to nearly get hit by a taxi cab, spill coffee all over her shirt(she'd since changed clothes, of course), and narrowly avoid being attacked by a furiously protective mother. Honestly, she couldn't understand what had set the lady off. Her stupid kid wouldn't stop crying, and someone had to tell him to shut his obnoxiously whiny mouth...oh, whatever. Anya decided she would never understand why people had to be so touchy.
Point being, this day hadn't been one of her best. And to top it off, how was she currently spending her time? Fighting off a horde of mindless, disgusting zombies. The vengeance demon really did not need this right now.
Whack! She vented her frustration by giving the nearest undead creature a taste of the crowbar that she'd fortunately been able to scrounge up in a nearby alleyway. As the blow met the zombie's skull with a sickening crunch, Anya winced slightly. The thing about killing zombies was that it was so darned messy. She still wasn't completely accustomed to it. Granted, she had been a demon for over a thousand years now(which she'd proudly announce to anyone willing to listen), but a vengeance demon's methods of destruction tended to be a bit more...passive than your average creature of the night's. Even when she had been 'evil', for lack of a better word, Anya didn't do much in the way of violence. She was much more adept at manipulation; tricking unsuspecting mortals into destroying themselves.
But, ironically, her tactics were a bit more hands-on and heavy-duty now that she was reformed. Who would've thought the good guys haveta kick so much butt? The demon mused to herself as she took a swing at another zombie. She wasn't so lucky this time, however, for with a guttural groan the creature grabbed the crowbar mid-swing, ripped it from her hands, and tossed it into the empty street. Anya's eyes widened. "Oh sh--EEK!" Her profanity turned into a strangled screech as another zombie grabbed her from behind and flung her onto the ground. Slightly winded, she scowled up at her attacker...s. Turned out there were a lot more of them than she'd originally thought. Her eyes darted around, taking in the numerous mangled faces of the undead. Where were they all coming from? New York was supposed to be safe!
And of course, today of all days she'd neglected to bring along any weapons. This was what she got for letting her guard down. As her attackers bared down upon her, Anya heaved a heavy sigh. This had gone on long enough; it was high-time for a retreat. At least until she caught her breath...and, y'know, retrieved some proper zombie-slaying equipment. "Well, it's been fun. ....And in case you didn't know, that was sarcasm." She hissed at the advancing undead. "Humans use it all the time!" And with that, the vengeance demon teleported away from the battle scene with a dramatic poof!
She hadn't really given thought to exactly where she had intended to go, however. All she'd really thought was 'get away from the zombie horde trying to eat my flesh', and as it happened, she ended up in another alley. From what she could tell, she was now behind the building she had just been fighting in front of. Well, great. How useful. With a snort, Anya dusted herself off and re-gathered her wits. Ah well, her apartment wasn't too far from here, so she supposed this would do. Hurriedly, she scampered down the alley, praying to whatever deity was listening that she'd had her share of trouble for the day.
In her disheveled, irritated state, Anya only just managed to avoid running into another current inhabitant of the alley. Skidding to a stop, she blinked up at...what appeared to be a normal human man. The demon stared at him for a moment, and then offered a pleasant smile...until she realized what she must look like. After her little scuffle with the zombies, Anya was hardly at her most glamorous. Her golden-blonde hair was unkept, her clothes were stained with blood...she probably looked like some kind of freak serial killer. As the thought occurred to her, her smile faded. "...Okay. I know how this looks, but... She paused suddenly as the man's previously spoken words finally sunk in. "Um. Did you just speak Latin?"
Anya was fluent in quite a few languages, as she'd been around for a rather long time and had traveled throughout the world. She had to admit, though, her Latin was a little rusty. After all, it wasn't like you heard people on the streets speaking it every day. Taking a closer look at the stranger, she suddenly became aware of...well, she wasn't quite sure. Something about him was off. She was picking up some very strange vibes.
Something told her this guy wasn't what he seemed.

Naradan stared at this woman for a second his body tensed for a moment. A demon, he could recognize the scent of one the instant it got near him. He decided he would rather play ignorant and try not to put her on the alert to what he was though she like him could tell something wasn't what it seemed. He gave her a warm smile and tried to conceal his newfound concern. He looked her up and down, it seemed she was well very unkempt. "to put it lightly." crossed his mind. He could see the blood on her clothing and her unkempt hair.
He really couldn't understand much of what she had said save the obvious look of emotion and shock when she had asked if he had asked if he spoken Latin just now. He really hadn't intended to make himself that obvious, and was now very nervous because he felt that if he spoke she might recognize the accent of a devil who spoke Latin, since it was very distinguishable when compared to a priests version of Latin.
He ran through what other languages he spoke so as to avoid the question all together. He decided to nod and at least acknowledged that he knew Latin. He thought hard atlantian wouldn't do that language from what he understood had vanished many millenia go, he knew Greek that might go over better than his other languages. He was so glad he had spoken often to charon of Dirge, who had ended up teaching him Greek over the many centuries. He knew some italian but really couldn't speak it well one because of lack of practice, and two he was really rusty. There was old English but that would just be like speaking Latin a dead give away.
"...Okay. I know how this looks, but..." He paused a moment considering the words she had said, then gave a short breath as his mind felt that she was probably saying something about her shocking appearance. "Its quite ok miss, i'm sure you have an excellent reason for not being in the greatest of graces." he said very pleasantly his coat seemed to ruffle and shift about though there was very little wind in the alleyway. His voice also seemed to have a tinge of something akin to what nobility was used to, a sense of refinement and grace.
He gave her a nervous smile that revealed his slightly sharper than normal canine teeth. He continued to smile definitely thinking this hadn't been one of his better weeks. First a summoning that had sent him flying somewhere else, next landing in the midsts of a bunch of angry fish, then having to deal with the bag of pointless containers, then there was the peevish book woman, now a demon.
He really hated what ever archduke had cursed him with this string of bad luck just because he got sick of taking orders and killing demons, and angels all his life. He let the backpack he was carrying dangle in his hand, he kept his breathing relaxed and his mind alert just in case anything were to happen but other wise he maintained a very cool exterior of calmness and collective relaxation.
Naradan had been put slightly off guard when she hadn't recognized him as a devil the instant she had come into sight of him. However in a way he counted that as a grace, considering she hadn't tried to maim him the instant she saw him. Though it did bring him interesting questions for his own thoughts about this strange and pretty attractive blonde.
Like why she didn't know he was a devil? was she in the service of the abyss? if not why? ect. all these questions buzzed around giving him a few moments of amusement as he watched her very closely though he did nothing that would indicate any of these buzzing thoughts.

At the man's polite response, Anya relaxed slightly, some of the tension melting from her shoulders. His response hadn't at all been what she'd expected; she had been preparing herself for something a bit more...dramatic. He seemed to take her disheveled appearance in stride, however, and so the vengeance demon's wariness gave way to a more abashed demeanor. She looked herself over sheepishly, then shrugged. The man's words hadn't exactly been prying, and she guessed that he'd probably let her drop the subject if she chose to. Still, Anya didn't want him to get the wrong idea. If she left her appearance unexplained, he might think she killed someone, or something. Of course, if she mentioned the zombies, there was every chance that he'd think she was crazy...but then, most people kind of assumed Anya was crazy anyway.
"Oh, well. It was nothing." She chuckled a little at her own blatant casualness. "I had to fight off a few...creeps a little while ago. Nothing I couldn't handle." Right. Is that why you ran away? The demon couldn't help adding this silently. Scoffing, Anya decided that she'd rather just forget the whole incident. Right now, all she wanted was to go home and get cleaned up. She glanced back at the man with every intention of saying goodbye and continuing on her way...but once again, something stopped her. Her senses were going haywire, and she felt as if she were missing something that was right under her nose. There was definitely something different about this stranger. But what was it?
For one thing, there was the fact that he had dismissed her bloodstained appearance so casually. But it was more than that. There was something about the way he spoke, something...well, she wasn't sure if 'foreign' was the right word. Anya narrowed her eyes as she surveyed him closely. Her gaze fell to his smile, then quickly flickered back up to meet his eyes. His teeth looked kind of...sharp. Could he be a vampire? No, the vengeance demon was very familiar with vampires, and trusted that she'd be able to recognize one within an instant. Still, the way he spoke and moved, and the increasingly supernatural vibes she was getting from him were all leading her to one conclusion.
It shouldn't have mattered, really. These days, one ran into plenty of people who weren't...well, human. Anya herself being one such creature, now gazed at the man with new-found curiosity. By this point, she had relaxed almost completely, her expression changing from an anxious smile to a friendly grin. Humans, while intriguing and at times very endearing, were constantly putting the vengeance demon on edge. Even after spending so much time among them, Anya still found it difficult to blend in. That, and there was the unfortunate fact that most humans tended to associate the word 'demon' with negative connotations. In the company of someone who was quite possibly more than human, however, some of the pressure was taken off.
"My name's Anya. You're not human, are you?" The blonde asked cheerfully, portraying a bit of her trademark bluntness. She didn't mean to be rude or invasive by asking--the vengeance demon had simply never been one to beat around the bush or sugarcoat things. She preferred to get straight to the point and speak whatever was on her mind. She never understood the human tendency to create small-talk. It only wasted time.
As well as voicing her question directly, Anya had introduced herself. It didn't seem fair to ask such a personal question without revealing anything about herself, after all.

Naradan tilted his head a little bit to the side and sighed to himself relieved that he might be able to avoid some questions about what he was. He gave another nervous smile before answering thinking very carefully how to phrase his answer so he wouldn't arouse a lot of suspicion but still maintain his friendly exterior.
*"Are there alot of these creeps??"* he asked in Greek. He knew creep was a word concerning disconcerting people or it was a type of plant.
He was somewhat curious why she asked if he wasn't human, he felt nervous he knew she was a demon what kind he couldn't peg. He felt slightly indignant that she was asking what he was so blatantly no person had the right to ask that of someone they just met.
He felt a seething anger at the idea of explaining what he was and he knew if he did there would be a fight he just knew it. Nara sighed and kept his own mind focused on his current situation of maintaining civility.
*"No i wouldn't be human."* he answered vaguely not wanting to elaborate till he had an appropriate and decent excuse. he left the backpack dangling in his hands though he still had no clue what it was. He was definitely a strange young man to say the least.

((S'okay, no pressure!))
Anya hesitated a moment. Judging from his evasive response, she had brushed a topic that this stranger would rather not discuss. But why? It couldn't be all that bad. He looked...normal enough. Then again, appearances could be deceiving. Although her curiosity was now piqued, she decided that she was entirely too inquisitive for her own good, and that she wouldn't push the issue any further...for now, at least. At this point, what with the man behaving so mysteriously, the vengeance demon probably should have become a bit more cautious. Admittedly she made a mental note to keep a close eye on the man while in his company, but apart from that, Anya was now quite at ease. Perhaps it was some combination of the adrenaline accumulated from her recent zombie-scrap added to her relief at finding herself in the presence of another supernatural creature, but there you had it.
Before speaking, she noted that the man had spoken to her in Greek. From this she gathered that English probably wasn't his strong suit. It was odd, though. He spoke Latin and Greek, but preferred to stay away from English? Where exactly was this guy from? Leaving this last question unasked, Anya merely shrugged it off. Greek wasn't a problem for her; she could get by in most European languages, and when she spoke again she made sure it was in his chosen tongue. Hopefully she remembered as much as she thought she did. Wouldn't want to mix up any words--she was embarrassed enough as it was."Hmm. Well, that's alright! I'm not either. Not anymore, anyway. Humanity is overrated." The vengeance demon waved her hand lightly to indicate her dismissal of the subject.
When he asked her about the zombies, however, Anya scowled at the reminder. The hordes of the undead really had a way of ruining her day. "Ugh, don't even get me started," she replied, her tone plainly etched with disgust. "There are about fifty of 'em wandering the streets on the other side of this building. I wouldn't go out that way unless you're looking for a fight. They're not a pretty bunch." Too late, she realized that she'd probably given away too much about the zombies. But then again, if the man wasn't human, he probably wouldn't have too much difficulty in believing they existed.
Ah well. With the zombies so near by, though, it probably would be a good idea to get out of the alley. Anya considered this for a moment, and then glanced down at the backpack the man was holding on to. No, he definitely wasn't from around here. The demon wondered whether he had a place to go at all. She couldn't count the number of times she'd gotten lost in this city, and she'd been living here for a good few months now. She opened her mouth to suggest that they relocate, but then paused. The stranger still seemed quite guarded, although polite enough, and she'd be willing to bet that he most likely didn't trust her very much as of now.
"So, uh...I didn't get your name?" The statement ended up sounding more like a question. Perhaps he'd be willing to tell her that, at least.

"There are about fifty of 'em wandering the streets on the other side of this building. I wouldn't go out that way unless you're looking for a fight. They're not a pretty bunch."
"you mean the piranhas?" Naradan asked back completely understanding that she meant the angry dead things out side. It was a very strange way to refer to the zombies to say the very least.
"most people call me Nara." He answered back when he heard her question about what his name was. Again he gave the distinct impression he was trying to with hold some information from her. He was obviously somebody who didn't trust people very easy and liked to keep things very close to the chest. At least he was trying to give that impression while balancing out the fact he wasn't trying to be rude to her.
His mind wandered a bit as he tried to see if there were any of the Piranhas around or if they were getting closer to them. He didn't envy the idea of transforming when he met such a friendly person so soon after being "materialized" into this world.
"Might there be a place we can go where it is safer away from these....things.." he said when he realized he had called them piranhas he couldn't imagine how weird it would be for someone to refer to zombies as fish much less how it would sound when he called them biting fish.
He also realized he really didn't know the city too well there was no way for him to really understand the sighs outside and he didn't want to touch her mind for this information, one he didn't know how she would respond and two it was usually better to ask for permission to look into a persons mind in order find out information. He let his coat flutter about nervously as his wings reflexively moved about in their disguised form.
the cool air was also starting to get to him a little as he couldn't help but shiver a little unused to such cold weather, he was normally in places that were at least fairly warm in comparison like villas, ect. he was definitely used to fancier living that he might get while visiting this dimension.
Realizing he had forgotten part of his etiquette and bowed very politely to Anya. "it is very nice to meet you Anya." he added feeling it would be rude to not acknowledged her name and who she was. It went against all protocol not to acknowledge a person and he like most of his kind was bound in some fashion to protocols and rules. he hopped it would also help his possible friendly terms with this individual before they continued on so they could get out of the streets.

Reno rode his bike around as he looked at what was going around him and sighed. As that was definitely what he wasn't hoping to see. Reno came there to see one of his friends that he met threw Bobby but instead he found the place abandoned and empty. He just sighed to that as he stopped and parked his car where he saw no danger and then he got off. After that Reno just walked around lost in thoughts. He wondered what was going on and how did it got as bad as it did. It made no sense to him at all. In fact it worried him as he wondered what happened and who was responsible for all that happened. Sure he understood what was going on by what he saw but it was not enough. Even what he was told by some rude woman made no sense to him. Reno just walked around as he thought all this thoughts.
He then over sudden stopped as he thought he saw a familiar face but wasn't sure about that so. "Cindy? Is it you? Haven't seen you in a while? How have you been? What are you doing here?" Reno said to Anya thinking she was the one he met two or so years ago. After all the two looked 100% a like, so it was rather hard to tell the two apart. In fact he had no idea that there were two girls that looked a lot a lot so as far as he was concerned she was one and the same. Yet truth be told the one he met wasn’t the one he saved or anything like that. However, at the moment Reno had no idea about that at all. Anyway, he just looked at her then he acknowledged the other guy with her. “I am sorry but am I interrupting you two? If I am then I am really sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt you two” Reno said as he looked between the two.
“By the way, you do remember me. Don’t you, Cindy? I am Vince. The one that saved you and the other girls from fate same as Leslie’s. Remember? I haven’t seen you in a while. What are you doing here? Why are you so messy? What happened here? What is going on here?” he said as he was really curious to know. “What happened to the job you got with my friend?” Reno asked as he looked at Anya. He was surprised yet happy to see her again. However he wondered how was she there and why was she there. The last Reno checked she got a better job and was pretty happy so it confused him to see her there by herself and without his friend, the one she supposedly worked for. “You still look rather good so. Even if slightly messy and a bit scary but all in all you look good” Reno said to her with a smile. “OK, now you two can keep talking and you and me will talk once you two are done. Don’t worry I can wait” he said as he looked between the two.
“I just want to know so. How long are you both here? Do you know for sure what is going on here/? Who is responsible for all this? Also where is everyone? The place looks completely deserted”” Reno said as he looked between the two as he waited for a reply. He hoped that if they were there long enough then most likely they would know much more information then he did. Yet somehow he doubted that but you could never know. He surely couldn’t anyway. Reno hoped that his friend for whom Cindy worked for was fine as well as he hoped that Chey, Bobby as well as Sandy were fine too as he cared about them. Just as he cared for everyone other then his enemies, of course. Reno hoped to see Chey, Sandy and Bobby soon as well as the rest of his friends, which included his older brother Mitch. From whom he haven't heard from for a very long time too.
"How is my friend and the other girls doing?" he asked over sudden as again he looked at Anya waiting for a reply. Reno looked around then back at her and sighed. "Are they safe? do you know anything else that I should know? Because if you do then you got to tell me as I am worried as well as confused" He added as he then looked at the ground and back at her. Reno waited for her to reply as it really did mean a lot to him.

Piranhas? Anya raised an eyebrow at this, puzzled. She certainly hadn't seen an piranhas out there...but then, she'd kind of been distracted by the zombies. Or, another thought occurred to her, perhaps he did mean the zombies. She had never heard anyone refer to them as piranhas before, though. Odd...maybe it was a translational thing? She shook her head, bemused. This situation was getting stranger and stranger by the moment. Even so, it was hard not to take a liking to the man--who had just introduced himself as Nara--he was sort of odd, but Anya liked odd. Anya was odd, actually.
His next question voiced Anya's previous thoughts. It really would be better to get out of here while they were still unnoticed. She glanced around as if she expected something to jump out at them then and there. It appeared that they were safe for the moment, however. "It's nice to meet you too, Nara. There are so many unpleasant people in this city. I'm glad you're not one of them!" She informed him casually, yet again being awkwardly direct in speaking her mind. "As for getting out of here, I agree. We should probably...oh!" Her eyes lit up suddenly as an idea struck her. "Are you hungry? We could find a place to eat. ...Do you like pizza?" Pizza was probably one of Anya's favorite things about the human world. That and money, of course.
Before she could enthusiastically continue babbling about a small Italian pizza place she knew of not too far from here, she was distracted by the very distinct sound of approaching footsteps. Anya immediately froze, eyes wide. What could have found them? Zombies? ...Something worse? The vengeance demon whipped around tensely and stared into the face of...well, she wasn't exactly sure. It was another man, one who she wasn't familiar with. But strangely enough, he seemed to know her.
Cindy, he called her, while introducing himself as Vince. Anya stared at him blankly as he continued speaking. The demon blinked, trying to process everything he was saying to her--he seemed very convinced that she was someone he knew, but Anya could have sworn that she'd never seen him before in her life."Uh, I..." she stammered in confusion. She cast a helpless glance at Nara, as if wondering whether he could make any more sense of this than she could, and then turned back to Vince. Cindy...who was Cindy? Anya clenched her jaw as a possibility suddenly occurred to her. Did this man know her from when she worked for D'Hoffryn?
Back when she had been a demon in the true sense of the word, as in a malevolent creature using her powers to wreak havoc, she had oftentimes pretended to be human and used a human alias in order to lure her victims. But she couldn't remember ever introducing herself to anyone as 'Cindy'. And besides that, Vince seemed to think he knew her pretty well. If they'd ever met, Anya would have probably remembered it. She shrugged at him, nonplussed. "I think you have me confused with someone else. I don't know a Cindy. I'm Anya, Anya Jenkins." She replied earnestly in an attempt to convince him.
Although she was still a bit confused, the demon couldn't help feeling slightly guilty, as if it were her fault that Vince couldn't find...whoever this Cindy person was. "I'm sure it's an easy mistake to make, though. It's kinda dark out here." Anya added helpfully. "But if you're looking for someone named Cindy...maybe we could help. Right, Nara?" She looked over at Naradan again, wondering what he was making of all this. "...Unless the zombies ate her. That would suck."

Nara had to admit he was starting to like this Anya person she was really nice and she was probably one of the only demon's he had met that hadn't wanted to bury their claws into him. Which was an additional plus, to her conditionals in his own mind.
"It's nice to meet you too, Nara. There are so many unpleasant people in this city. I'm glad you're not one of them!"
That was the same thought that had just graced naradan's own mind about Anya. She was not unpleasant at least right now she might change her mind if he transformed then again she might still be friendly. "I am glad as well." he replied back in Greek, giving her another one of those strange grins of his.
"As for getting out of here, I agree. We should probably...oh!"
He wondered idly what could cause her eyes to light up so wonderfully and make her pause for a second in the conversation. He had never been to this human realm neither in its time frame, or dimension.
"Are you hungry? We could find a place to eat. ...Do you like pizza?"
"what is this.... pizza." Naradan asked with a blank smile on his face. He was very curious what kind of food this pizza might be. He had found its description in the big book of words, and the big book of meaning. "I would be very curious to try this....Pizza." he replied back in Greek he had a little bit of a hard time making the word out because he had never said it before.
Nara was blissfully unaware of most of the things Vince had said mostly it just gave him a very confused impression on his face. He couldn't understand English so everything he said was completely meaningless to the devil. He sighed as the human talked wondering if he might attract the zombies by being near them.
"But if you're looking for someone named Cindy...maybe we could help. Right, Nara?"
"I suppose we could, i really don't know anybody here so i wouldn't know who this person is." He said responding to her in greek. He was very curious about this place and so far the only person he knew on this whole dimension was anya who was very nice and he might get some kind of food out of this."Again i think we should leave if piranhas were to corner us there wouldn't be much room to maneuver. " He added with a rather nervous look around. "I am also very new here so i wouldn't want to get lost, so can we please talk this over elsewhere." He added with a slightly pleading tone in his voice. He felt if they stayed around the human who had just walked into their midst might draw a lot of hungry fish. Not that he was a coward he was just being practical. He added to himself in order to make himself feel like he was not being a coward.

Reno looked at her shocked as he listened to her and sighed. He was shocked and confused now since she looked completely like her and it was why he was sure she was Cindy. Reno noticed the way she looked at him as he spoke and sighed. He then listened to her speak and sighed again."Really? I could have sworn.... It's nothing to do with it being dark. You look hundred percent like her. That is what amazes me. How can you look so much like her and yet be someone else? Are you sure you are not her? It's unbelievable. I was looking for one of my friend until I saw you and I was sure I found one of my friends that I haven't seen in a while and now you tell me I got the wrong person! Speak of embarrassment. Does it even possible that there are two identical people in the world?" Reno said to her with a puzzled look on his face. "Nice to meet you, Anya Jenkins" He added.
"It would be nice if you helped me find her. I wanna know where she and my friend , who happens to be her boss are OK or not. I also want to know if the other girls who worked with her for a very bad man are alright or not. I saved them from him, you , I mean them. Alright that is confusing. You two look like you could be twins. Honestly" Reno looked her over as after that he looked at Naradan as he watched him curiously and when he heard him speak he listened. Reno wasn't sure what the guy was saying so he looked at Anya once more. In one way he thought maybe he spoke English but on the other it seemed like a different language all together.
"I hope they didn't ate her. Wait a minute, are you saying those things are really zombies? That is unbelievable no doubt. Very scary too. Never thought they were even real, until now. It changes physics . Then again what doesn't this days, right? Man I had a feeling that something bad was happening but wasn't sure. I thought that I imagined what I saw but not anymore though" Reno looked around then back at her as he sighed. "If you guys are thinking of getting out of here so that those things won't find us then I am with you on that" he looked between the two as he waited for them to reply. Or at least for one of them anyways.
"I got a bike near by but I can only take one person with me. So the other gotta keep up with us. That is if one of you doesn't mind riding with me." Reno looked between the two as he said that. "Perhaps we could find my friends that way too who knows." He then looked between them once more as he waited for a reply. "Oh yeah I know where there is a good food if you both are hungry that is" Reno wondered what would they say to that. "If you both are interested that is" He added.
Reno still was confused that the woman he was in the same place wasn't the one he knew. Not in a long shot. Reno wasn't sure what to do with that information but it was rather amazing to say the least. It was impossible situation and yet it was so true. Reno wondered if in anyway the two were related in some sort. There was no other way to explain it that way for sure. He shock that thought out of his head. "I am still speechless about the whole thing. I mean the whole you look like my friend Cindy, thing" Reno looked at her and shock his head. "That's incredible. Does it mean you two are related or something?" He wasn't sure what else to say but he said that as it was the only thing that he could think about. Well all he could think about on the subject of Anya looking like his friend Cindy anyway.
"Anyways, I really think we should get out here as I saw some of this Zombies on my way here but they are pretty far from here but you never know when would they get here. I think we should get to somewhere safe. So if one of you suggested that before I came then I must agree! Anywhere is better then here" He looked between the two as he said that. "I do think we should talk more so, just not here" Reno added but he looked at Anya as he said this.

It was a strange coincidence, Anya supposed, that she happened to look so much like this Cindy person. In her human form, anyway. The vengeance demon tilted her head to the side and gazed at Vince a bit sadly. He'd mentioned the possibility that perhaps she and his friend were related somehow, and the statement evoked a quite sigh from Anya. "Nice to meet you too. I'm sorry I'm not who you're looking for...but I doubt we're related. I don't really have any...living family." This explanation was an understatement, to say the least. The demon was over a thousand years old, after all. And when she had been human, all those centuries ago, she'd lived in a tiny village with a husband who hadn't even loved her. Anya couldn't remember much about her human life, but she felt certain she never had any children. If I had, I would've remembered them. She thought with a pang of regret. Only moments before, she'd told Nara she believed that humanity was overrated. This...wasn't exactly the case. In all honesty, if Anya were ever offered the chance to trade her demonic powers to be human again, she would in a heartbeat.
It was unlikely, however, that this would ever happen, and so she tried not to think about it too much. To distract herself, she spoke again. "I guess it's just one of those freakish things..." At this point, Anya trailed off. Suddenly, she became aware that Nara hadn't yet spoken directly to Vince. Of course he wouldn't! The demon rolled her eyes at her own obliviousness. Vince was speaking English, after all. Deciding she'd better clear a few things up, she turned Naradan and replied to him in Greek. "This is Vince. There was some confusion, apparently he mistook me for a friend of his. Which is why I told him we'd help him look for her." She translated briefly.
Really, though, they needed to relocate their little conversation--fast. Anya could hear the zombies from here--they sounded like they were getting closer, but she wasn't willing to stick around to find out. Fidgeting restlessly, she glanced at the entrance to the alley again. "Okay then! To answer your question, Vince--that's your name, right? Those things are zombies, and if we stay here much longer then we're probably gonna be in trouble. Food sounds good, though. Why don't we find a place to eat, and you can tell us a little more about these friends you're looking for?"
She smiled eagerly, practically inching toward the alley's exit at this point. Then she hesitated. She kept forgetting, at the moment she looked rather...scary. With her blood-stained clothes and disheveled hair, she either looked like a murder victim, or the one doing the murdering. Maybe I should get cleaned up before anything else... The vengeance demon considered this for a moment, and then snorted. Whatever, this was New York City. She was far from the scariest thing walking the streets at this point.
"Oh, and by the way, this is Nara. He's not real big on...English." Anya told Vince. She knew her explanation was vague, but she really didn't know enough about Naradan to elaborate. And even if she did, she guessed he probably wouldn't want her announcing his life's story. Noticing that Nara seemed as anxious to get out of here as she did, she smiled at him reassuringly. "C'mon, let's go. We can all find something to eat, and then finish this...interesting but slightly confusing conversation." The demon said, reverting to Greek again. "And trust me, you haven't lived 'til you've tried pizza!"

Naradan noded to her then he remebered how humans wore strange leather packs on their backs. He wondered idly if this strange bag he was carring was one he slid it over his back one arm in a strap. It fit much more comfortably, he was happy he could carry around his books and now feel comfortable.
"Yes let us go." he replied in Greek again, he was really anxious his mind stretched out to its max distance. He could definitely sense the zombies nearby. He followed Anya's lead not wanting to get left behind for some stupid reason.
first off he didn't want to get lost, second he didn't want to search the whole city trying to find his new found friends. He was definitely a strange being to say the least it took him several hours to figure out how to use a backpack after all.
He appeared to not have any means of defense on him and he really didn't want to transform in front of these two it wasn't pleasant at all plus he might hurt them if he lost control in the meele.
"i look forward to trying this pizza then." he said in Greek showing that obviously the young man had never had pizza once in his life. Maybe when he got more comfortable he would transform or help them in some other way if needed but for now things were going exactly the way he wanted. Other than being chased by a bunch of angry piranhas of course, you couldn't plan for everything but you could come close. he thought to himself as he followed Anya at a brisk pace.
He kept looking over his shoulder to see if their new friend Vince was going to follow. He didn't want a new potential ally to die because he didn't have a person to guard him. He was starting to learn this English it wasn't to hard just from listening to them talking for the last several minutes. Well it helps you learn a language when you've read over every meaning and definition in the language your looking at.
His alertness was much more than anybody could possibly imagine naradan was keeping tabs on everything within 100 feet of himself and his group. He so wanted to indulge on this new dish and he would rather do so alive, granted it didn't mater if he died it would just be a pain and he might not have a way of getting back here to see his allies.

Reno listened to her and nodded to her as he looked around then back at her. He then went to get his bike then climbed on it and rode right beside the two. Since when he came back with his bike the other two already already headed away from the area. Reno looked around then at them. "Anyone wants a ride. If so they get on fast. I just saw an angry mob of zombies heading our way and they looked angry and hungry. Plus I think one is driving a police car or whatever it is. Unless I am only being paranoid" He said to them as he looked around then back at them. "The pizza place is strait then to the left after that to the right and we are there. Well one of the safest pizza places in town anyway." Reno looked at the two as he rode by them. "It's good to have a vehicle, isn't it?" he looked forward as he came on going. Reno wasn't going to leave his bike behind and luckily for him the zombies didn't got to his bike which was a plus as far as he was concerned. If the zombies got to his bike it won't be pleasant at all.
"Any, want a ride? Or maybe your friend wants a ride and make up your minds fast" he waited for a reply as he kept on riding by them. "And yes it's Vince. Vince Black" Reno looked around then at Anya, after that at Naradan. He wondered what were they about to say but he hoped that they said it fast. The longer it took them to reply the faster the zombies would get to them and he didn't wish that. Reno was rather stay alive then dead that was for sure. Besides he wanted to live long enough to see Dutch Dixon and others like him, pay for their crimes. Instead of innocent people like him pay for them.
It was weird that after 5 years off being on the run, it wasn't being on the run from the law that worried or scared him, it was running away from zombies that did it. Reno never thought nor imagined that his life would turn that way over sudden out the blue. He couldn't understand how things could turn out so dark and gloomy. It was crazy that what it was. To think that his worry about being caught and arrested for a crime he never committed was so small compared to the situation he was in right now. Reno shock his head from this thoughts and sighed. It made him more worried and scared about his friends then ever. If that was even possible. Since he was always worried about them as they were about him.
Reno head a horrible feeling in his gut that most of his family if not all of them, never made it alive. In fact he was scared that the whole zombies situation got to other places and counties, which didn't sound good at all. It was more frightening then anything. Reno hoped that there was away to fix the whole thing and that sooner or later someone would find it. Then everything could go to normal or almost to normal anyways. If someone told him before that something like this would happen he would have laughed or rolled his eyes at them. Yet now he would actually believe them and ask them for some ideas of how to survive the whole thing. As well as he would ask them how to fix the whole situation and make sure that it won't ever happen again.
Reno felt like he was in a nightmare, only a real life nightmare not a dream wise. It made him feel like he was losing his mind, only he knew that he wasn't. Not that it helped him or anything since he was still going through the whole thing. Reno definitely wished that it was a nightmare but if it was then it was one he couldn't wake up from that was for sure. It was definitely something he never experienced before. Not to mention it was something he never wanted nor wished to experience. Not in million years did he imagine to go through anything like that. Not that it did any good because he had to deal with it either way. Unfortunately it was his life now even if he liked it or not. Which of course he didn't.
What happen to the world today? Did people went mad and created some strange, scary looking creatures and now can't control them anymore? Or what? He thought as he sighed. Reno just couldn't understand how the whole thing could even start. It was more then he ever thought was possible. In fact it was way to much for him to handle. The whole world went in to one big chaos because of some lunatics who thought they were gods or something. Reno was really sure a person created the whole situation. As it looked that way to him. It was surely done by a mad person not sane one. Sane one won't ever create something that would become so deadly he was sure of it.
Reno shock his head out of his thought as he kept on riding. Once in a while he looked behind him. "Oh god, they are getting close. Not to close but still close" He looked at both as he said this. Reno couldn't believe that he was dealing with all of that. All Reno hoped for was a nice and quite vacation, was it to much to ask? By the looks of it the answer no doubt was a yes for sure. Then again he was used to the idea of his vacation being caught sure. But never before because of something like what he was dealing that moment that was for sure.
"I really do Hope that we will find my friends soon" Reno sighed as he looked between the two and after that behind them. At that moment he was out of his thoughts and more thinking of ways out of there to somewhere safe. "Something to eat would be nice. Like a pizza or something but Pizza better as other places that used to be here are gone now. Most if them anyway" He looked at them as he moved his hair out of his face as he said what he said,

"lets meet at the pizza place." Nara called to Anya just as vince arrived on his strange thing. He didn't know what to call it other than a thing.
Nara had never seen a device quite like the one that Vince was ridding he decided that he would rather ride something than he would run or fly. Both of which were risky, running just because he still could never get used to his body being so much smaller and more compressed thanks to his shape shifting. Flying was out of the question because he would have to assume his demonic form and that would go over really well. He thought to himself sarcastically.
"Is...this thing...some...kind of.....metal....horse." he asked in a very unsure tone as he looked at the bike with asstonishment. He only definition that nara could come up with that he could understand. And though the english was extreamly broken it was near perfect, when he asked vince about it.
His voice had that nobility quality to it, it sounded like someone who was used to living a really elegant lifestyle. He couldn't help how his voice sounded but it mattered little. He looked around the city words on the boards were starting to appear not so much jibberish to him. They started to make sense in their own strange ways.
It would probably be very obvious from his definition of a motorcycle nara was not from around here. Hell he probably wasn't from this time period. the most advanced thing he had seen in his life had been a carriage or a coach back during the middle ages.
His whole life had definitely taken a strange turn from boring to exciting in the period of a few days. As he moved looked around he couldn't help but love the sensation of the bike on his sensative wings (disguised as a coat) He was smiling like an idiot as he was riding his first mechanical horse this day was just kept getting better and better.
He held on tightly to the man's chest not knowing what else he should do to keep aloft on the strange horse. there were know reigns on the things saddle. He would definately have to say something about this device when they got off for now though he would just enjoy the ride to the pizza place.
