When their respective stories had at last been told, Anya finally allowed herself to relax. It was as if some of the barriers between them all had finally lifted, and it felt good not to have to pretend anymore. Now maybe they could make some real progress with the whole 'trust' thing. Considerably cheered by this turn of events, the blonde had to actually struggle to contain her enthusiasm--something which she rarely bothered to do. "We're quite a band of misfits, aren't we?" she mused pleasantly. She wasn't quite sure how these things happened; earlier today, she would've never guessed she'd soon find herself in the company of a dragon-esque devil and a renegade bounty hunter...but she was glad she had.
She listened to both of their stories with wide-eyes intrigue, as if attempting to memorize each and every word spoken. Though she'd guessed Nara's identity beforehand, there was quite a bit she hadn't known about him. Like the fact that he had no idea how or why he'd ended up in this dimension, for that matter. As confused as he'd previously seemed, Anya had still assumed that had at least meant to come here...but as it happened, this wasn't the case. Either way, it didn't change the fact that he was here now...and seemed to have a long road of redemption stretched out before him. The vengeance demon could certainly relate, and silently pledged to help her friend, if she was able. Perhaps Vince--or Reno, as he'd introduced himself--would be similarly determined...
Anya couldn't help but look at the bounty hunter with newfound relief. In the fleeting moment before they'd left the shop, when the police had entered, she'd watched him take cover behind the menu with a sense of dread. It was so typical that most of the humans she befriended were at one end of a drastic spectrum: either cops, or criminals. Personally, the demon wasn't fond of either. Human murderers, while most of them weren't exactly a threat to her, scared her none-the-less. It frightened her, knowing that a human being could become so cold and empty, so completely unhuman. But as Reno explained his framing, she breathed a quiet sigh and allowed herself to warm towards him once again. It was worth noting, in addition, that he seemed to be taking all of this exceptionally well.
She was eager to learn more about both of them, but it soon became apparent that this would have to wait. At Nara's words, she was alerted to the approaching apartment residents. Anya fell silent to listen, turning towards the door. Indeed, the rapid footsteps and angry rumblings of the men could be heard even from here. The door might have been locked, but she doubted it would hold for long seeing as a small mob seemed to be forming. The vengeance demon narrowed her eyes in disapproval. "There's, um...no one up here! So take your shotguns and your organized violence somewhere else!" she snapped. When the men offered no response or signs of stopping, Anya turned to her friends and shrugged. "Oh well. It was worth a try."
With no other choice but to depart, she nervously weighed their options. The door was obviously not one of them...but it happened to offer the only way down from the roof. She could always teleport them, of course, but she didn't want to risk another surprise like earlier. She supposed she could actually ask this time. Yeah, that could work. "So, if you guys don't mind teleporting, I could get us out of here. It would only take a second, and then we could go..." Anya paused, considering for a moment. Where exactly could they go? Seeing as Reno had told them he was only in town for a couple of days, and Nara was from an entirely other DIMENSION, she supposed neither of them had official residence here. That in mind, her place was probably their best bet. "...to my apartment, I guess! We could regroup there. As long as neither of you are allergic to cats." she added as an afterthought, remembering the existence of the the small, furry but definitely not bunny-like creature she'd taken in. It was a miracle she'd managed to keep the little tabby cat alive--normally, she couldn't even manage to take care of a plant.

"Granted i have no idea where you live." Nara suggested unhelpfully he could figure it out. The angry storm of feet was getting louder and he was getting a bit agitated. The easiest option he had was to transform, he could at the very least grab Vince.
He Sighed and changed shape. His coat unfurled his clothing sank into his skin which began changing color and consistency. It was similar scales to an alligator rather than a dragon. Though they were once again pitch black with pale green along his stomach and neck.
Nara stretched his wings experimentally everything seemed exactly how it had been before. He let out an annoyed his as he felt the people approaching underneath them. "Vince i suggest you get on my back....unless you want to jump down or climb the fire escape with people shooting at you." He replied with a dark but amused chuckle. His tail trashed about in agitation, he grinned a bit. He couldn't believe half of what had happened here he was a devil offering his back like some mount. "its to save a life." though he added to himself with a smile waiting as he was crouched low to the ground.
"Well this is no time to babble lets get moving anya directions please." he said into her mind wishing her to show him mentally where to go. One it would be faster and two it would make things easier if she didn't have to explain, that way he had landmarks and stuff marked out in a general direction and pattern.

He looked at them as he sighed then looked at Anya. "Teleportation is fine just not staying here" Reno looked around then back at them. "Flying works too. I don't care which just let's get the hell out of here, please" He added and sighed as he looked at both. Reno really didn't care how as long as they got away from the angry mob that was going to get in any minute. "Whatever it is, make it fast. I value my life to much and I rather not to die" Reno waited to see what would they do just he hoped it would be fast so. "I think with Anya teleporting us to her house would be better because that way we won't attract attention on ourselves too much and it would be faster. Not that you are not fast, Nara but They would shoot you and you might get hurt and no one wants that" he didn’t mean disrespect but he didn’t want to much attention and he didn’t wish no one to get hurt. “Teleport my bike to you’re apartment please. I am not leaving my bike behind as I can’t”

Anya glanced from Vince to Nara, and quickly weighed her options. They didn't have much time for debate; they just needed to get out of there as quickly as possible. How didn't matter so much. Nara had already transformed, offering Vince a ride, and the bounty hunter stated that he firmly refused to leave without his bike. There were a couple ways this could play out...they'd just have to choose one of 'em, and fast.
Although teleporting would be the quickest option, Nara having transformed again made things a bit more difficult. Inconspicuously teleporting herself as well as two guys and a motorcycle was one thing. But a demon, a bounty hunter, a bike, and a black-and-green flying devil popping out of thin air in front of her apartment would be a tiny bit more noticeable. Besides, they needed to get out of here now, and Vince's bike was still parked on the streets below. She'd have to make a quit pit stop down there to pick it up, which would be even more of an inconvenience is she was dragging the other two along for the ride. Her unusual method of travel had gotten her slightly disoriented before, and she didn't want to put her friends at risk by teleporting them in quick succession. After all, she'd never tried teleporting an object as large as a motorcycle before, and it was possible that there'd be some complications.
So with a shrug, Anya decided to just go with what was easiest. "Vince, you should go with Nara. It's not as fast as teleporting, but it's fast enough. I'll just hop down there and grab your bike, and that'll be that!" the demon announced, trying to sound optimistic despite the audible sound of the quickly approaching footsteps. Even if the men found them while Nara was flying away, she trusted that he'd be able to take care of himself. Or at least she hoped so, anyway. Turning to the devil, she forced herself to concentrate on the mental image of the route to her apartment from here. It wasn't too far; just past the alley they'd met in and then about eight blocks down. Assuming he'd take notice of her little imaginary map, she gave him a short nod before smiling at both of them. "See ya in a jiff!" Anya chirped, before disappearing in the blink of an eye once again.
A millisecond later, the vengeance demon found herself standing on the street in front of the pizza shop, only a few yards away from where Vince's motorcycle was parked. She beamed, pleased at the outcome. Maybe she was starting to get the hang of this again! But now came the hard part. Anya's expression turned to one of determination as she made her way over to the bike, sizing it up as if it were some kind of potential opponent. "..Here goes nothin'!" she sighed, very much hoping it was true. Closing her eyes, she tentatively placed her hand on the motorcycle's handlebar and focused on her chosen destination.
The sensation of teleporting was a little different this time. Slightly heavier, as if she were fighting against a force that was trying to drag her backwards. Inanimate objects weren't exactly meant for this thing, after all, but there was no going back now! With a sudden jolt, Anya felt herself stop abruptly. She could feel the concrete under her feet, and...well, something beside her. Opening one eye, she winced as if she expected to see something entirely monstrous in the place of her friend's vehicle. A moment later, the demon breathed a sigh of relief. There it was, inches from the curb beside her. Great parking job, too!

Nara got the directions and watched with satisfaction as anya left the building. Nara waited a few moments for vince to get on of his own accord. If he didn't nara would take off into the air and circle round and grab the human by his coat and shirt if he had to.
His tail swished about and found a knocked over generator he stabbed the thing with his strong tail piercing the metal as if it was nothing more than tissue paper to him. He lifted the thing into the air and settled the heavy metal object in front of the locked roof top door. 'That should buy me enough time to get him if i have to.' He thought to himself marveling at the simple solution.
His wings flapped agitatedly as he waited for vince to climb onto his back. "I'm sorry for whats going to happen. I'll try to make the flight as comfortable as possible." he projected his thought right into vince's head. This would probably be a big shock for vince because he probably had never had anybody speak into his own head before.
He was mainly concerned because his outer scales were rough and scaled and if vince rode for too long might be prone to getting his pant's shredded and maybe some of his skin. However it was to late to really worry about that now, was his only slightly comforting thought as he gave vince just a few seconds to to either clamber on his back and ride somewhat comfortably or he would be forced to ride very uncomfortably in his sharp claws.

Reno looked between the two and nodded. "I will go with Nara then, sound just fine to me and thank you Anya" He then looked between the two. He watched the next as he then tried his best to climb on Nara's back. Once on Nara's back he looked around. "Wow, it's both scary and exciting on top of you man" Reno held tight but gently in to Nara's back so that he won't fall. "Am I the first person who is flying on your back?" he asked because he was rather curious.
Reno had fun but only the flying part, also he haven't flied on a plane almost never because he had no chance, well not in the last 5 or 20 years or so anyway. He never flew on a dragon that was for sure but to bad it had to be in the situation they were in and not just for the fun of it. Not that it made the flying less fun or anything. it was just that flight like that usually gave people a headache that was all. Reno looked around then at Nara. "Follow Anya, I think that's our best bet. Unless she gave you the address in your head" He didn't mind either way as long as they were safe.
"I did hear you speak in my head and it's not your fault but thank you for the kind words" Reno looked at him as he was still surprised that the guy spoke in his head and all. Not that he hated him for that or anything but he was still impressed as well as amazed by everything that he had just learned that day. It was true what people said that you learn new things everyday a that what happened that day. He met new people and learned new things.
(Grrr, sorry it;'s so short)

Nara sighed when Reno got onto his back, it felt weird not just because this was the first time he had ever let a human onto his back. Well actually the truth was this was the first time a mortal had even touched his scales. It was an interesting feeling, reno had a sort of warmth to him that was comforting if a little creepy at the same time.
BANG!! there was a slamming noise as the angry tenants seemed to have finally got up all the stairs and were slamming at the now barricaded door.
"I take that as our Que to leave." Nara said smugly into reno's mind.
Nara spread his huge wings apart and flapped them experimentally, before he ran at full speed on his front and rear legs. Right as the edge of the roof came into view he jumped up and off the ledge.
There was a powerful updraft from the winds that sent him high into the air above the buildings. He was only a few hundred feet into the air and well out of sight by the time the angry tenants arrived on the scene. He smiled and remembered the map Anya had given him in his mind.
If there was one ability he appreciated it was the fact he could speak without words just by thinking. He smiled to himself as he enjoyed only his first flight in 2 days. Joy seemed to radiate from his mind, it was obvious that he loved flying. His wings felt the winds keeping him aloft in the air as he glided through the air, he only flapped his wings a few times thanks to the updrafts created by all the towers.
He glided along through the semi abandoned buildings, really he didn't care what people thought anymore, he kind of just was glad to be himself for once. He banked to the left where anya's direction had indicated and saw anya as a speck of blonde.
"Hold on reno." he said though hold onto what was never mentioned. The devil was focused more focused on landing now as his wings slowly folded and they began to loose altitude in a slow dive. He was sure to take it easy for reno so he wouldn't get sick, he landed with a clack clack of his hard claws on the pavement. "There we are nice and safe on the ground. Now would you mind getting off so i can turn back." he said in a friendly voice. His natural devilish voice was not as alluring as his human voice, it was dark kind of gravelly and deep. There was a more pronounced hiss to his voice to that was definitely not pleasant for most mortals.

Anya was evidently quite proud of her little accomplishment. Standing there alone on the corner, grinning goofily at the immobile motorcycle, she probably looked half-crazed. Not that she really cared, of course...although she probably should have. After all, in these frantic, near-apocalyptic times people were being arrested for less. Luckily however, the rest of the street currently seemed to be deserted.
It was a very good thing it was, actually, because if a bystander would've been suspicious of Anya's odd behavior, she imagined it'd be nothing compared to their reaction upon seeing a winged devil dive out of the sky and land beside her. Which was exactly what happened a few moments later. Her only warning of Nara's arrival was the fleeting shadow that suddenly loomed over the sidewalk, a spectacle that managed to catch the vengeance demon's attention at the last minute. Looking up, she let out a squeak of surprise and backed away a few steps to get clear of her incoming companions. However, Nara's landing was both more graceful and silent than she'd expected.
With a quick glance over the devil, she spotted Reno clinging to his back. Anya almost chuckled at the sight. The poor guy had discovered the existence of the supernatural, been teleported by a vengeance demon, and flown with a devil all in one day. That was a little extreme, even for a bounty hunter! She had to give him props for holding out so far, though.
As Nara spoke to the still-clinging bounty hunter, the blonde brightly strolled over to greet her friends. "Hi guys! How was your flight?" she asked cheerfully, as if what had just occurred was entirely normal. Her ever-present smile was still as enthusiastic as ever, if not quite as energetic. There was something slightly more weary than usual in the way Anya moved and spoke--it seemed the feat of teleporting the motorcycle had taken quite a bit out of her. Never the less, she was genuinely pleased to discover that neither of them had been hurt in their escape from the angry tenants.
"Look, Vince," Turning slightly, she pointed back to where the bike sat by the curb. "I got your bike! Not even a scratch on it, either. Uh...I mean, not that there was ever any risk in the first place." Sheepishly, Anya shrugged and beamed hopefully over at the bounty hunter like a child waiting to be praised on her art project.
The slamming of a car door caused the demon to jump slightly. Somewhat disoriented, she glanced wildly around as if expecting to see the police closing in on them. The noise seemed to have come from a few blocks down, however, and Anya breathed a quiet sigh of relief once she'd realized this. "We should probably get inside, once you two are ready. We seem to be adept at attracting attention." she commented dryly. Nara had yet to revert to his human form, and Reno would probably need a moment to get his bearings. But as far as Anya was concerned, there was presently nothing more she wanted to do more than curl up and sleep for ages.

Once they landed, it took him a few minutes to get off Nara. Reno almost fell off the devil but luckily he didn't. He looked around and sighed as he looked at Anya then at his bike as he listened to her and then lifted an eyebrow at her. Reno still liked her but she was strange no doubt about that. He noticed that she almost laughed when she saw him cling in to Nara but then again the ride scared him. "See you fly on him. You will be scared too, trust me on that. Wanna bet?" he watched her as he said that. Reno then looked around and back at her. He froze as he heard what happened next as he looked between the two. Reno could tell that both heard it too or at least one of them as he wondered what in the world just happened. He hoped that everyone was fine and that no one got hurt but he couldn’t be sure. Yet, it was to risky to go over because what if it was zombies or something, then it would be their end and it wasn’t an option at all. Not to him anyway. Not at all.
"Yeah, let's get in right now. I think they might go threw here any minute. Let put the bike somewhere inside, maybe even in the apartment so that no one will touch her" Reno knew it would seem strange as he was sure that it was but he still cared for his bike. His bike most his baby like a girl he dated, as that was how he was. Reno knew it was crazy but that was how he was so. He was just over protective of people and things and didn't thought it was crazy but he knew that others saw it that way or would see it that way anyway. Not that he cared about that as it was their right to see it that way. It was just that he loved his bike and saw it as his baby. Reno knew that not many were like that so it seemed insane to them but he couldn’t change that about himself no matter what. And frankly he didn’t want to change at all as he saw no reason to change at all. Reno believed that it was fine that he was the way he was even if others saw him crazy and even if not. After all it cost a lot to own a Harley and he should know as it’s his bike after all. “If someone touches my bike they will regret it. Unless I allow them too and if I do it‘s only for protection and nothing more” he hoped that Anya understood him and all.
Reno was still confused by what he found out that day as well as he was confused by hearing the other guy in his head as well as by flying on him and being teleported by Anya. However he wasn't much complaining about that. Reno did hope to keep talking to them and stay their friend, no matter what. Even so it was all new to him and all it was still interesting. He felt kind of naked with them in away because they had powers and he didn't so it felt weird. The feeling naked part was just a saying. Since they had powers like they were more dressed then him. Not that Reno complained or anything but it was rather interesting so. Then again he figured that it was exactly how he seemed to them, which was fine by him really. Reno looked around then back at them once more and sighed as he waited them to move and go in and even help him get the bike in. He looked around then back at them. “Why do I smell smoke guys?” Reno asked over sudden confused and worried as he looked at them confused and worried. He could tell that it wasn’t coming from his bike but the questions was from where. It didn’t came from the apartment either so that too was definitely a plus no doubt about that.

Naradan sighed as he felt reno's weight fall off of his shoulders. He stretched his wings and began the process of resuming his human identity. His body immediately began changing shape towards a human form, his huge size began to slowly shrink down to an average size. His clothing started to appear again through his rapidity softening skin.
His wings folded up wings to his shoulders underneath his arms. It becoming his black trench coat once again. His horns now started to take on the appearance of short black hair. It took roughly 30 seconds for all of this to occur and finish.
When the transformation completed nara was once again human in appearance. He gave a nervous grin and threw some of his hair out of his eyes and over his left ear.
"Well shall we." he said softly heading upstairs towards the apartment entrance. He gave a slight smile. After this he would follow both anya and reno upstairs into the building. He would trail behind examining each door way and let his mind wander feeling the tendrils and surface thoughts of those arround him. He couldn't be too careful after all, with the zombies running around the city.
It was an interesting place this world he had discovered. It was a nice place and for once he felt somewhat welcome in large part thanks to anya.

It seemed that Reno had noticed her earlier amusement, given his little confrontation of her after he jumped off Nara's back. This time, in response to his indignant words, the vengeance demon failed to hold in her laughter. "Yes. We can bet money, if you'd like. Just remind me the next time we have to escape from a mob of angry apartment tenants." she replied airily. This was one of those all-too-common instances when it was difficult to tell whether Anya was being sarcastic, or whether she was simply taking Reno's challenge quite literally. She shrugged happily, and glanced over at Nara just in time to catch the devil returning to his human form. It was a transformation that might have seemed bizarre to...anyone who wasn't a thousand-year-old demon from hell, or something along those lines, but Anya merely watched with something akin to mild interest.
Well, that was that then! It would be better to waste no more time out in the open, being the inconspicuous lot that they were, and the vengeance demon was all ready to head in when...Reno mentioned that he wouldn't leave his motorcycle out here. Anya almost stumbled over her own feet at the thought of teleporting the five hundred pound vehicle a second time. She cast an anxious look at the bike, and then back at Vince, biting her lip slightly as she contemplated. "...Right. Well, there's a garage just down the street where it'd be safe, if you want to drive it there. Or...I could teleport it for you. If you want." She winced slightly at the thought, but didn't retract her offer. With another nervous glance up and down the street, the demon let out a light sigh. "But at least come in for a minute, before you do. I could...get you something to drink!" That was...good, right? Hospitality? She was pretty sure humans liked that.
"I mean, you don't even know how long you'll be staying yet," Anya continued as an afterthought. "Not that you aren't welcome. You both can stay as long as you like, if you've got nowhere else to go...though, granted, it's only a two-bedroom place so someone's gonna have to take the couch." The blonde was pretty much rambling in full-swing as she followed Nara up the apartment building steps. Assuming her friends were following her, she opened the door and carried on down the hallway towards her room, occasionally glancing over her shoulder to make sure neither of them had gotten lost. In one of these instances, she happened to catch a glimpse of Nara warily examining the doors they passed. Anya blinked curiously before it occurred to her that, judging from the wary expression on his face, Nara was probably making sure none of the other inhabitants of the building were dangerous.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about them!" she reassured him with a wave of her hand. "They're pretty harmless, as far as neighbors go. I mean, sometimes the guy across the hall gets kinda annoying with the blasting of his Elvis records, but...ah, here we are!" Anya stopped suddenly in front of her apartment door, rummaged around in her purse for a moment, and then pulled out her key. There was a soft click as she unlocked the door, and then scurried out of the way to let her friends inside.
Her apartment wasn't huge, although it was one of the larger ones to be found in the midst of New York City. It consisted of a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. One didn't have to look hard to discover evidence of the demon's compulsive neat-freakishness, which contrasted starkly with her currently disheveled appearance.

Reno looked between the two as he listened to them curiously. He rolled his eyes at Anya as he thought that she thought that he meant literally bet but he was only being sarcastic so. As they entered the apartment Reno just looked around admiring the place, of course he pushed his bike in no matter what as he wasn’t in the mood to find it destroyed later on. He loved his bike to much and since the situation outside was rather bad he wasn’t willing to leave his bike out. Reno did listened to what Anya said about her neighbors and how they are. It really did interest him just as her offer to stay interested him. Not because Reno wanted to be with her as he did like her but mostly as a friend and he had no time for romance just yet anyway. Not that he wasn’t going to fight if something did happen between him and Anya but it was a different story. The offer however interested him because it was much safer then staying outside where zombies roamed the streets and terrorized people. Inside at least it was nicer and relaxing to an extent compared to outside that was for sure.
When they were in the apartment he just looked around impressed. He tied his bike before going into the apartment but still. The place was small but comfortable and pretty, Reno wasn’t going to deny that. He said nothing just looked around in admiration. Reno wasn’t sure what to say but he definitely liked the apartment that was no doubt because of the look on his face. “It’s small but nice and pretty apartment. Good choice for an apartment, Anya” he said that to her simply as he gave her a smile. Reno then set down in her small living room as he looked around. His coat was still around her as he didn’t took it back but he was fine with that so. After all he knew that she won’t steal it and she could give it back when she wanted as he wasn’t going to complain or anything like that. “How long do you live here? It seems rather new to me so my guess you are here probably a week or two. Am I right?” Reno watched her closely as he waited for a reply. If she said before how long she was there then he didn’t hear it. It wasn’t deliberately of course just they were outside where noises and other things like cars driving, even if not many and things like that. He could have also forget if he heard her answer that then most likely he forgot. It happened to Reno at times even if not a whole lot but it still did here and there. If it was one of this cases then he planned to apologize for that. After all Reno hated hurting people, that was a fact that who knew him knew that about him. As he never hide it because there was no reason to.
Reno looked down then back at her as he sighed and waited for her to reply to him. He looked at Nara here and there to see his reaction to her apartment. Reno wondered what Nara thought of apartments in general since Nara wasn’t human and never lived in apartment before it was rather obvious to tell. Which was why he wondered what Nara thought of apartments considering it meant it was his first time seeing one. Reno lived in an apartment before but it had been along time since then. Right now he doubted that he would ever be free and he also doubted that he would ever live in apartment again. Not for a while and staying in one as a guest didn’t count much. After all in the situation they had currently he had no other choice and he knew that. “What do you think, Nara? Pretty isn’t it?” Reno shock his head out of his thoughts and looked at Nara as he asked him that. “Since you know the truth about me now you could call me Reno instead of Vince. Just when around other people please call me, Vince alright?“ he looked at them both as he hoped that they understood him. “As or drink I would like only coffee. If it’s ok. Do you need help, Anya? I won’t mind helping if you need help” Reno smiled at her as he said that to her.

Nara sighed to himself and sat down on the sofa, he was amazed at the cleanliness of the apartment. It certainly contrasted heavily from her current appearance of mussed up hair, blood-stained clothing, and the ever wonderful look of shabbiness about her. He didn't mind he wasn't really one to judge anybody, heck he lived in a library reading a dictionary for a few days.
Now that he was out of there and now in the bigger part of the world it was nice. He smiled as he still kept tabs on the neighbors just a bit, mostly to make sure the cops or some demon hunter didn't come after them. He really didn't want to deal with upstarts like that, granted in a way it had been his own fault for being in his full devil form.
He had to admit that the place was nice, and clashed with everything he knew about demons. He had always imagined them as chaotic beings, prone to violence, impulse, and as such any "home" such creatures might have should follow that predicable pattern.
Then again it was nice for him to be wrong, so far anya had gone against any conventional knowledge of demons that he had had from home. He looked about with obvious fascination when he saw the devices that humans had. He had to really control himself he wanted to play with or at least get a closer look at the human devices she had inside.
Nara might be a be hundred year old devil but one look and you could see he was an infant compared to Anya or any other older creature. He scratched his hair a bit and rubbed his ear. "I'm fine with this couch..." he said bouncing on it a bit, it was a bit poofy and it felt nice course it would for someone like Nara. He knew of benches and seats, but he had never felt anything like this, sure in old medieval times they had cushions but these were even more comfortable than those.
"hey Anya...sometime....w...." he seemed to go stupid again or shy, it was hard to tell as his face was now out of sight hidden under his black bangs. Was it embarrassment or something else, he would like to sometime learn about this world and the only one who might help him is someone who had seen a lot. He also wanted to get a bit of an education before he might set out on his own, considering that he was still a new comer. For Nara it was hard asking for help even if he was now free from the archdukes and on his own, so his reluctance would be very obvious. It was very hard for a devil like him to ask for help, since that often involved returning the favor to the other person or dieing if you refused.
Nara thought for a moment after hearing Vince ask about what he thought of apartments. "they are like small homes in another building right....The are nicer than some taverns I've stayed in." he said without thinking. Given that his appearance was that of a 17-18 year old boy that would be an odd statement for anybody in this time. Though really if they thought of it it made sense in medieval times where Nara was from a boy was considered a man at the age of 15. "they are definitely charming." he said giving the place a glance around his mind trying desperately to keep reign over his curiosity.
He thought for a few on what he would like to drink "ummm....soda...if you got any." he asked shyly. It was strange that he was so shy around Anya or maybe that's because he knew her now, or maybe he was off footed by what had happened to him earlier with the trial of redemption. It was really hard to say since Nara was very good at hiding what was going through his head at any given time.

With one last glance across the empty hallway, Anya turned and shut the door behind them. Now that they were out of the open, away from zombies and angry mobs and whatever else might try to cause trouble for them, the blonde seemed a little more at ease. When Reno and Nara voiced their approval of her apartment, she beamed at them brightly. There were so many things to worry about when one had to make a home in the human world—so many rules centered around what a "normal" home was supposed to look like. Not that Anya was ever one to play by the rules of course, but she took a certain comfort in modeling her apartment in the traditional human way. It reminded her of her friends in Sunnydale, and...of a time when she actually was human. So it was nice to hear that her home was...well, home-y.
As she followed her two companions into the living room and the full warmth of the place hit her, it occurred to her that she was still wearing a coat—Reno's coat, to be exact.Oops! Glancing down at herself, the vengeance demon giggled sheepishly and shrugged the jacket off. "Almost forgot! Thank you, by the way. I hope you weren't too cold out there! You really shouldn't be risking frostbite on my behalf." Anya said, walking over to the bounty hunter and offering him his coat. Granted, she had a beating heart and flowing blood, so technically she could get frostbite...but a human's body would be much more susceptible to it than a demon's would. But Reno seemed alright for now at least; he was already asking questions about her apartment anyway. She paused briefly to consider his question. All the days here seemed to blend together...it was rather difficult to recall exactly when she'd gotten there, but..."I've lived here a month and a half, give or take." That sounded right, at least. "I don't usually hang around here, though. You know...zombies to fight, and all. So that's probably why it looks all sparkly and new." Not to mention her compulsively neat habits, but that sort of went without saying.
She seated herself lightly on the arm of a nearby chair, and then turned her attention to Nara upon hearing her name. He seemed to be...struggling to ask her something, from what she could tell. The vengeance demon tilted her head slightly and blinked at him, confused as to why he never finished. There was one thing that completely baffled Anya—not just about humans, but about most beings in general—and that was why the lot of them seemed averse to speaking their minds. She figured things would be so much easier if the world where its inhabitants never held back their real thoughts and opinions. Direct, blunt, and honest; that was the way to go as far as she was concerned. Still, Nara's demeanor seemed more hesitant than reserved, as if he were holding back out of tentativeness rather than a desire to hide something. Maybe it'd be possible to pry the question out of him anyway...
..After she did her duty as a good hostess and got her guests something to drink, of course. Reno had requested coffee, and Nara had asked for soda—both of which, fortunately, she happened to have! With a quick nod, Anya sprung up and practically skipped towards the kitchen, only glancing back when Reno offered his assistance. "Oh, no! You just sit there and...um. Have fun." the demon suggested randomly, pausing midstep to give the bounty hunter a reassuring little grin. "I'll be back. You two just make yourselves at home." It was worth noting that she was actually putting effort into making her friends feel welcome here. Normally, Anya really could care less about what people thought of her, but she was starting to realize that it wasn't easy making friends in a city like this...and she intended to keep the ones she had. The blonde hummed to herself softly as she made her way into the kitchen, sidestepping her curious little feline companion who had emerged from under the table to see what the fuss was all about.
A few moments of busy preparation later, the vengeance demon re-emerged with a can of soda in one hand, and a cup of coffee and various other little assortments in the other. These other items were revealed as she leaned over to set the coffee mug on the little stand beside Reno, followed by...an absurd amount of different brands of sugar packets and a little carton of cream. "I wasn't sure how you took your coffee, but go ahead and mix and match or whatever!" Anya gave him an encouraging little pat on the back, apparently of the opinion that she'd been quite resourceful. Then, without further ado, she strolled over to the sofa, handed Nara the soda, and abruptly sat down beside the devil. "So! Nara, what was it you wanted to ask?" the demon inquired, fixing him with a determined stare. Her friend's sudden change in demeanor had put her slightly on edge. Although, she reasoned, whatever he wanted to ask at her couldn't be too bad. After everything that had happened tonight, Anya wasn't sure much else would surprise her about either of these two.

Reno looked at them both as he watched Anya and smirked a little, then shock his head as he watched her return him his coat. He took it back of course but he thought that it was rather silly of her think that he would rather keep himself warm then her. After all they were friends which meant that he would help her too when needed, since he always helped a friend when he could. “I am fine really, I can deal with cold I was in the rangers and we trained even in cold weathers and what not. I also was a cop so cold air doesn’t really bother me at all. Thanks for worrying so and you are very welcome. I am glad I could help you” he smiled and nodded to her. “I see, well then it’s no surprise that it’s clean as well as I am sure you just love clean places which is rather a good thing. I just hope you are being careful when you fight those things as they are dangerous after all”
Reno watched her sit as he looked at Nara then back at her as he could tell the guy was trying to tell her something but couldn’t. he figured that the guy must be shy so it was easy he liked her other then being new in humans world or only because of him being new in human world. Either way Reno was sure it would pass sooner or later. As he spoke to him he did heard his reply and nodded in reply. “Apartments are not small homes they are small homes. Well kind of I mean they are homes but some are big and others small it depends on the amount of money a person can spare” he was impressed with the guy’s knowledge even if it wasn’t 100% percent correct but it was rather close so.
Reno watched as Anya brought what she brought as he watched her put the coffee mug and other things in front of him. He listened to her and smiled as he just nodded. Re no put only sugar in the coffee but he was grateful either way so. “Thank you, Anya” he said to her with a smile. Reno watched her put the soda in front of Nara as he took a sip from his coffee. He looked between the two as he let them speak while he drank the coffee. Reno smiled at both then he looked around lost in thoughts. He then looked at them again as he drank more from his coffee. Reno didn’t even try to listen in as he knew that perhaps because he was listening the guy couldn’t speak, among other reasons that is. So he wanted the guy to feel more relaxed and all so he just smiled and them as he sipped from his coffee. Once in awhile he looked around as he then took out his cell phone and checked it for messages or missing phone calls but saw nothing so he put it back in his pocket.
After that Reno just sighed as he looked at Anya and Nara. Then he took another sip of his coffee as he thought about the good moments that he had with Lisa, Cindy and Valerie as well as with Randy, Chey and definitely Bobby. Reno wondered what were they doing now as well as he wondered if they were alright. Well other then Valerie because she was dead unfortunately and he still missed her and wished that she was still alive but he knew that she won’t ever be but the thing that helped him more lately was knowing that he met her reincarnation, in a strange way and it was Lisa Bendetti. Reno also thought about the little girl named Lisa and the time they spend together as he hoped that she was fine too. He hoped to see them all again soon and val too of course. After all he saw her every time he looked at Lisa Bendetti.
