Nara sighed to himself as he leaned backwards into the couch his mind had gone quiet. He really was embarrassed, mostly because of reno's presence it wasn't that he didn't not like him. It was just he felt so much like an outsider that there was no way for him to ask anything from anybody especially when it exposed his own ignorance.
"I just was wondering....if maybe sometime....you could help me get settled?" he tried to say without out arousing a lot of suspicion though it was obvious this wasn't what he had intended to ask. It was vague and yet there was a lot of truth to the statement. He would have liked anya to teach him more about this whole place, you know about the zombies what they were, it would help him out a lot.
He sighed and suddenly became interested in the strange device on the table. He poked the soft buttons on the plastic thing very peculiarly messing with it. He wasn't sure what the device was it might be a remote of some kind. He was mostly fiddling with it to disguises his own embarrassment.
He was also surprised by vinces reaction to his own definition of an apartment how could it possibly not be a house inside of a building. He knew of course that they couldn't be true houses but they were rooms that were adorned like houses. "Why do humans have to be so complicated to deal with." he muttered to himself, though it could be missed by what happened a second later.
He took a drink of coffee and sputtered a moment in shock, it was weird it was....something he had never tried. It wasn't bad just different, he started to have a coughing fit as some of the hot liquid flowed into his wind pipe.

Settled? She tilted her head slightly as she reflected on this. It was, of course, a reasonable request. Nara was now facing a life in a dimension that was utterly foreign to him, after all...if Anya were in his shoes, she wouldn't know where to begin either. She could almost relate—though of course, her introduction to this world hadn't been quite as sudden or harsh as Nara's was. Technically she had been born here, although in a very, very different time. And her centuries' worth of work doling out vengeance to those who "deserved" it had mostly taken place in this dimension. It was only human behavior that baffled Anya at times. But for Nara...well, everything here was new to him. That, and in addition he had to deal with all the new-found guilt that came with his redemption.
So it wasn't so much his question that puzzled Anya as it was his suddenly abashed demeanor. The devil seemed shy and embarrassed, almost...ashamed? She looked at him in concern as he busied himself fiddling with the television remote, and then glanced over at Reno in an attempt to see if the bounty hunter made any more sense of this than she did. But Reno seemed calm for the moment, almost lost in thought as he silently sipped his coffee. Fidgeting nervously, Anya returned her gaze to Nara. Had she done something...wrong? She knew she could be insensitive at times, but she didn't think she'd said anything that would put her friend on edge like this.
She was so worried that she'd said something stupidly offensive without realizing it that it never really occurred to her that Nara would have such difficulty asking for help. But whatever the reason, she quickly tried to reassure him. "Oh...yes, of course!" Anya replied earnestly, her mind racing as she tried to work out exactly where to start. "Let's see...well, we could start with finding you a more permanent place to stay. Not that you're not welcome here, Nara, but you'll probably wanna step out on your own sooner or later—oh! And I could show you around the city, maybe tomorrow or—or sometime, and Reno you could come too if you wanted, and...ohmygawd, money!" At this point, the vengeance demon spazzed slightly. "You'll have to find a way to make money! Maybe we could find you a job or something...I'll explain all about it later, it's a wonderful little system of capitalism..."
Quite abruptly, the vengeance demon stopped talking. Whoops...she'd done it again. That whole "incessant babbling" thing was still something she needed to work on, evidently. Realizing that she'd probably done a great job of overwhelming poor Nara, the blonde apologetically averted her gaze...until a few seconds later...
The sudden choking noise made Anya jolt up in alarm, turning to face Nara again as she realized he was in the midst of a rather violent coughing fit. Her expression was half-frantic, her eyes wide as she tried to piece together what was happening...until she saw the cup of coffee he was holding. Oh. Crisis averted! Anya almost laughed, though more in relief than in amusement.
"Oh...yeah, the coffee...it's kind of hot. I'm sorry, I should have told you. Are you alright?" the demon asked, unable to keep a slight grin off her face.

Reno took a sip of his coffee as he let them speak then watched as Nara played with the remote as he laughed at that a little. It was interesting and cute like watching a child play. Reno didn't laugh at that in a mean way of course. He then noticed Anya look at him and sighed. As all he did was smile even so he was lost in thoughts he still saw everything around him. Reno was going to help them both if they ever needed his help and all.
When He explained Nara about apartments he noticed the look on The guy's face. He wondered what he was thinking about. Then Reno thought that the guy was muttering something to himself as he wondered what it was but shrugged it off, for now that is. He was sure that the guy will tell him what he muttered to himself as well as what he thought about sooner or later. If he so chooses but he surely wasn't going to push him so that was no doubt.
Reno sighed to that. as he shock his head from that thought He then looked at Anya as he wondered what did she think and what was she going to say. Truth be told he did hear What Nara said to Anya but barely because he wasn't listening in. Reno did notice that the guy was and embarrassed, also it was no surprise since he was in a new place, time as well as world so he needed time to get used to. Reno felt bad for the guy the problem was that he had no idea how exactly to help him.
Reno looked between the two as he could tell that Anya was worried or at least it looked that way to him. Which of course he understood why. He listened to her speak to Nara as he looked between them both and sighed. Reno listened to what she said to Nara as he smiled because he thought that it was nice that she was willing to help him out, He too was willing to help out in anyway he could. "I will definitely come too. I would like to help out as well, If i am allowed" he lifted eyebrow at her part about money, the 'ohmygawd, money!' Reno sighed and shock his head as he smirk a little at that. She definitely reminded him of his friend and partner Bobby Sixkiller. There was no doubt about that. He thought as he shock his head from that kind of thoughts and listened to what she said next as he looked between her and Nara. "Job is a good idea but I think, if I may suggest. We need to get him schooled and then send him to college and mean while get him a job as a waiter or something"
He looked at her then at Nara. "First I suggest to let him get used to earth for at least a month, max 2 or 4 then the job and the schooling so" Reno sighed as he looked between the two. He figured that it would be better that way for Nara. That way it won't overwhelm him as well as that way he would be able to get used to the place.
As he heard the chocking and coughing Reno automatically looked at Anya first as he saw her jump then t Nara. He then noticed what made the guy react that way and shock his head. "Easy with that. Just take one sip at a time and also blew on it first" Reno thought that this advice would help. He was definitely worried about the guy just as Anya was. At least he was sure of that.
Reno looked between the two as he sighed. He could that the guy wasn't used to coffee then again it was no surprise since his actual form was a dragon and dragons don't eat coffee. Besides he wasn't born on earth as well as many other reasons. Reno was sure that sooner or later he would get used to anything on earth.

He coughed slightly trying to get a hold of his sore, slightly burnt throat. It took roughly 1-2 minutes for his breathing to come back normally. He listened to their conversation as best he could. At least both of them had gotten the jist of what he had been asking, and neither one seemed to be making fun of the young devil.
When anya made mention of capitalism he was lost and couldn't stop the words that came flooding from his mouth. Whats that? he asked rather blankly. He had seen its definition in the dictionary but he didn't understand what that meant. His only knowledge of capitalism had been adventures or trading souls for gifts. That was the only thing he understood, so it was a barter system he was used to something completely different than the concept that he had read about.
"alright thank you so much." he added when he thought more carefully about what they suggested for his next steps settling in this new dimension. He was beginning to get attached to this place so the idea of staying wasn't horrible. Besides he was free of his old responsibilities as a devil so getting a place to live seemed like an excellent start for him. He gave a huge smile and then drank more coffee this time prepared for the strong flavor and warmth.
He looked around and couldn't help himself and pressed a random button on the remote. Something interesting happened. a strange box with strange lines flickered to life, it showed pictures that were moving. He was momentarily dumbfounded and suddenly was staring at the tv with intent interest bordering on fascination at the contraption.
After a few minutes he began playing with the buttons flicking through all the different "pictures." on the screen. Again revealing his complete lack of understanding for this world, though some might mistake this as a form of ADD because his mind was seemingly all over the place whenever he was around these interesting human devices.

At the mention of schooling, Anya inwardly cringed. Reno had a point that Nara would probably find some kind of education useful...but human high school?! Nara would probably be able to pass for a senior student, but the vengeance demon wasn't sure inflicting that on him was such a good idea. She'd spent about five months as a high school student, and even in that short amount of time had concluded one thing: high school...was hell on earth. Especially if your graduation ceremony involved an attack on the school by a gigantic, ascended, demonized snake and the whole place blowing up and...and...and that was another story.
As for college, well..."College? Well if you know where he'd get the money for that kind of thing..." Anya said pointedly, arching an eyebrow. The blonde really didn't know too much about universities in general, except that humans went there to learn(and drink, and party, and drink some more...), and that it was very, very expensive. Glancing at Nara, she brightened slightly. "'Sides! If there's anything you want to know, you can just ask us! Right, Reno?" she prompted. Right. Bring aaall of life's little questions right on over to the fugitive undercover bounty hunter or the eleven-hundred year old chick who'd spent most of her existence breaking the human spirit. Because they'd made such great life choices.
But the schooling matter was something that Nara could decide for himself, and it didn't have to be now. Presently, the blonde was distracted by the notion of explaining one of her favorite human concepts to the devil sitting beside her. "Well...capitalism...it's...a free market dependent on the profitable exchange of goods for currency!" Anya blurted, echoing her initial realization of the concept and sounding like a walking dictionary in the process. "More accurately, money. Little bits of green paper or metal that humans use to work their way up in the world! You can use it to buy food, and clothes, and...well, pretty much anything! Oh...except other humans. 'Cause that's illegal." Breathlessly finishing her little spiel, she summed it all up with a cheerful little nod. It was probably better to stop there...otherwise she'd quite possibly go on for hours.
And as exhilarating as talking about money was, her attention was diverted by the sudden burst of noise that resulted from the television being turned on. Glancing from the remote in Nara's hand to the lit-up screen, Anya stared vapidly at the ever-changing channels. Clearly, this device fascinated the devil...Anya, who had long since become accustomed to the wonders of modern technology, merely shook her head in amusement. The TV was entertaining, no doubt, but still...she found the concept to be a bit silly. And how did one explain the senseless habit that humans had of staring at it all day?
Well...who better than a human? Peering over at Reno, Anya blinked at him innocently. "...You take this one!" she invited chipperly.

Reno looked at both and sighed as he smiled at both. He watched him drink again as he was glad that this time the guy didn't hurt himself and was more careful He took another sip off his coffee and looked between the two. It impressed him the the ex devil learned fast how to drink carefully without chocking and all. Reno had a feeling that Anya was grateful to that too.
Reno listened to him speak as he glanced at him then at Anya and back at him. "You are very welcome, that is what there are friends for." he smiled at him as he looked at Anya and sighed. Reno wondered what was she thinking about. He hoped that she understood and agreed with him because it was the only way to make him officially part of the reality without looking suspicious.
"Yes college and I already said, he could work as a waiter. Community College doesn't cost to much compared to other colleges. We can get him someone to help him learn everything needed for free. Actually I think I know someone who is perfect for that job" he replied as he heard what Anya said to him. "Well before sending him to college or high school we get him home schooled" Reno added. He listened to what she said and nodded. "Of course":
The schooling part was rather important or Nara won't get a job at all, that much Reno knew very well and that didn't seem like a good option. Reno listened to what she said to the ex devil and picked up an eyebrow. "OK, where did you got that from Anya? Capitalism? Anya you are very strange and interesting too. I guess you could explain it that way I suppose" he laughed at that a little. Reno listened to what she said next he looked between the two and sighed. "Also money doesn't grow on trees, you work for it"
He then looked at Nara and at the tv as he smirked at that and shock his head. Nara definitely acted like a child which was rather cute and interesting or so Reno thought. Nara looked to him like someone who loved playing with things not that it surprised him but it was slightly funny and interesting.
Reno looked at Anya as he saw her peer at him and blink her eyes innocently as he shock his head laughing at that. "It's a TV, you cab watch anything you want. No one in the pictures lives inside as it was taken by a camera" He looked at Nara as he said this. "It is basically how we learn too. Like there are channels for kids and everyone. It depends on the channel you press" Reno added.

"These pictures are cool" Nara said rather innocently as he stared in absolute amazement at the wonder of human creativity before his very eyes. He began pressing the up and down buttons that said "channel" as Reno had suggested and was randomly starting to flick through the channels seeing various movies or instances flashing before his eyes.
He did this for about 5 minutes just flicking through everything from news to reality (garbage), to informational. He found most everything on fascinating and was keen to keep watching but decided to tear his mind away from the mystical box of doom! by turning if off.
He was completely lost on the subject of school and education. It baffled him why it was needed. Granted then again he thought of it and devils had t o learn magic or how to interact with humans on their planes. so0 it made sense to learn to fit in to human society he should probably go to school and work.
"I have no trouble with working." he offered after a few minutes. He was a good individual and he was kind of hard working, but he didn't do it fro recognition he did it because he felt it was the right thing to do. "And thank you both for all your help. He added as an after thought because mostly he was starting to get a headache and it wasn't one of his psychic ones but he was tired or stressed or was he just feeling like an outsider. He didn't know but all these thoughts were making him tired and his head hurt. He faded to sleep about 2 seconds later snoring softly.

Anya nodded thoughtfully at the mention of community college...it could work, in theory, if that was what Nara wanted in the long run. At any rate, the devil didn't seem opposed to working, as he himself had stated. Nara seemed to genuinely want to find a place for himself in this world, and it was something that the vengeance demon sincerely hoped he would succeed at.
Reno seemed to find her little explanation of capitalism quite amusing...and when he referred to her as both "strange" and "interesting", Anya's only response was...a simple smile. It wasn't necessarily an amused smile, but nor was it a "I-have-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about" kind of thing. She was simply acknowledging Reno's words; even seeming to relish in them a little. She'd been called strange plenty of times, of course....that was just a fact. But it wasn't quite as often that she was described as interesting. Most people preferred to use words that were...well, a little more negative. And so Reno's comment, casual as it had been, practically made the demon glow.
For once, though, she didn't respond. Instead she merely returned her gaze to the television, content with listening to the bounty hunter's explanation of it as well as Nara's innocent fascination. Her smile widening to a grin as she observed the exchange, Anya reflected that this day...hadn't been so bad after all.
She was at last stirred from her silence when Nara thanked them. The vengeance demon didn't immediately respond, rather taken aback. Yet another thing she certainly wasn't used to was having someone's gratitude directed at her. It was...one of the more pleasant emotions she'd experienced. But she still wasn't sure exactly how to react. Offering a little shrug, Anya tried not to look too surprised. "Aw, well, you're welcome. Like Reno said, that's what you do...when you're friends. You help each other, because it...well it feels...Nara?" It was only then that she realized that the devil was, in fact, sound asleep. She stared a him for a moment, startled...and then allowed her smile to return. After all, she couldn't exactly blame him. Nara had been through a lot recently, and he no doubt needed his rest.
They all did, actually. After the insanity of the day she'd just experienced, sleep was definitely a good idea. A great idea actually, after he zombie fight, the entire experience of Nara's redemption...not to mention having to do all that teleporting. Anya, suddenly becoming aware of her own weariness, turned her attention to Reno. As quietly as was possible for such a bubbly, energetic being, Anya rose from the sofa and made a rather dramatic show of tiptoeing over to Reno's side. "We should let him rest..." she whispered. "...I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind catching up on some sleep either. Come on, I'll show you where the guest bedroom is... "
Motioning for Reno to follow her, Anya padded softly across the living room and into the hallway, pausing to lightly nudge open the door of the guest room to allow her friend access. The demon turned slightly, stifling a yawn as she faced him once more. "Well, goodnight Reno. It was a pleasure evading zombies with you." As odd and even humorous as her words were, they were as genuine as ever. And with one final little grin, Anya turned and left the bounty hunter to get settled in.
A nice shower...or at least a bit of washing up, and then off to her own bed. That sounded just about right.
((OOC: Yay! Reno, you wanna finish up the thread? We can always rp with these guys later if we're in the mood for further shenanigans xDD))

Reno watched them both with a smile. He noticed her nod when he mentioned a community college as he then looked at Nara. Reno wasn't much surprised when the guy agreed to work as it was important and very helpful too, that was for sure. If it was other way around he too would agree to work, even if it sounded rather strange and confusing. After all if a different being wanted to be officially part of the world he was in then he had to follow what others did.
When he was amused by her explanation and refereed to her as interesting and strange, he saw her smile and such he just smiled back and shock his head. Reno let her believe that her explanation was correct instead of correcting her. He didn't want any trouble and it wasn't worth fighting over anyway. Reno definitely didn't expect her to say what she did that was for sure but he let her explain it her way. He did understood what she meant with her reaction or so he thought that he did.
Reno just smiled at her then at Nara. He figured maybe later he could explain it better himself to the both of them but not now so. Also he did wonder where did she got her explanation but decided not to ask and instead he just let it be. As strange as that sounded to him he just let it go for now.
When the guy thanked them he just said what he said as he looked at Anya and laughed a little at her reaction but not in a mean way so, of course. That wasn't the reaction Reno expected from Anya when the guy thanked them. He figured that it must be because she never was thanked before that moment. If that was the case then it made sense to Reno that she had that reaction even if it was a little funny. He just looked between the two as he listened to what Anya said. At the last part he looked at her and then at Nara as he laughed a little then looked at her with a smile. It didn't surprise him at all. Even so he himself wasn't that tired.
Reno watched her as he listened to her then nodded as he finished all the coffee in front of him. "Good idea" He smiled at her. "Lead the way. Also I don't sleep much so yeah but some rest will help. Do you have where I can brush my teeth so?" Reno asked only because he still planned to brush his teeth and go to sleep. Also he slept much 3 or 4 hours at times 5 or 6 but not more then that as he was just fine with that. After being wanted and fugitive for a crime he never committed he started to sleep less because of many reasons. However, Reno was rather used to that by now.
He watched her as he stood up too and followed her to the guest room. Reno then watched her open the door to the guest room as he smiled to her and got his stuff in. After that he looked at her. Reno watched her as he listened to her. "Good night, it was nice meeting you too" he then watched her leave as he brushed his teeth then laid down in bed as he eventually fell a sleep as he woke up 4 hours later as he just set down on the bed lost in thoughts.
After that he headed to the kitchen and ate something as well as drank and then just waked back to the room he stayed in and just looked around lost in thoughts once more.
(Yay indeed, and it's finished now hehe. I definitely think we should continue it so. As it would be a lots of fun)
