Kaly instantly regretted the question the second she saw and felt Deus's reaction to it. So much rage and pain and hatred. It nearly made her want to weep for him, but she held herself back. Her hands were still holding his, fingers brushing over the metallic surface despite the fact that he wouldn't feel it properly. If she could comfort him even in the slightest...
She smiled a little when he said he didn't want to talk about it. She nodded and stood up, hesitating for but a moment before moving forward to brush a kiss over his cheek.
"I understand," She reassured him as she pulled back, moving into the kitchen and pulling out the drinks she had gotten at the store. Two plastic cups were procured from one of the cupboards, and they were filled with some ice along with the drinks. "Looks to me like we're really going to need that ice cream tonight," She jested, offering him one of the drink-filled cups.

When the angels lips had so lightly contacted his skin, it was like watching a chameleon on fastforward. It probably wasn't humanly possible to turn that red that fast all over. The giant was blushing up a storm as heat came off of him in waves. It took the time that Kaly spent getting the two of them drinks for him to calm down, the blush contained on his cheeks as he took the drink in hand and quickly sated his parched throat.
Deus gave Kaly a small smile at her successful attempt to lighten the mood, with it being both quite welcome and slightly needed. "Yes we do need that ice-cream tonight...." The tall man muttered out, hoping to get his thoughts off of both his dodgy past and the ever growing affections and feelings he had for the angel. And although he didn't know it, Deus was becoming more then just romantically attracted to Kaly.

Kaly's smile widened. She leaned against the counter with a soft sigh, bringing the cup to her lips as she began drinking. When she started feeling Deus's uh.... 'More than Romantic attraction' feelings, however, she nearly choked. It was for but a second, however, and she quickly went back to downing her drink as she put up her walls around her mind and emotions. She didn't always shut them off completely, liking having her Empathy working at least a bit so she could understand the people around her just a bit more...
But with what Deus's feelings were escalating to, she didn't know if it would be a wholly good idea to keep her Empathy open at the moment. Especially since he himself may or may not be noticing what was happening within himself...
"The pizza will be done soon," She said after clearing her throat, setting the already almost empty cup down so she could bring out two plates and a knife. If only she had gotten a stronger drink! She was beginning to think that she would need it along with her ice cream... Then again, on hindsight, it was a very good idea that she wasn't drinking alcohol. It wouldn't do them any good if she drank enough to get her drunk - A feat in and of itself, what with both her 'Irish Heritage' (hawhaw stereotypes) and Angelic DNA. It would just muddle her wits and make things more complicated than they needed to be!

Deus gave Kaly a simple nod as she got up to get the plates and cutlery for their food. For Deus, it was like watching a slow-motion baywatch scene. Kaly had some amazing curves that for the life of him he could not keep his eyes off of. Great Kaly just had to go and tell him about sex and then tell him that he was attracted to her, now it was all his mind kept going back to! When she turned around to return to the table he was quick to look the other way, the blush still on his face only deepening.
'Ohcrapohcracpohcrap if there are any gods out there please don't have let her caught me staring at her like that guy had been earlier.....' He thought to himself, trying his best and utterly failing at getting his mind off of the beautiful angel that he was currently sharing a room with.

It didn't take long for Kaly to realize she didn't need her Empathy to know what he was feeling for her at the moment. She could feel his eyes on her, although unlike the eyes of the people in the city... His were oddly welcome. It made her heart pound in an oddly pleasant way as she moved about, getting things ready for the dinner that was almost done. Even as she returned back to the table, sitting down and tucking a few strands of red hair behind an ear while sheepishly keeping her gaze away from him.
"So um...." She tried to speak up, finally looking at him slightly. She was nervous as hell, trying to ignore the way his warm eyes looked at her - The way her desire to lean forward and give him a proper kiss (and then some) was nagging at the back of her mind, "What places have you been to in the past...?"

He was looking for anyway, anything to get his mind off of Kaly for even a moment. Just for a slight reprieve from these thoughts and urges that kept invading his mind.
And then the source of all of his problems provided a solution.
"Hm...... The better question is where haven't I been...." Deus started off, now being able to actually look at Kaly now as he continued. "Short answer, I've been nearly everywhere on this continent....... I'm not exactly a fan of water if you catch my drift...." He then tapped his metal gauntlet to punctuate his meaning. "But to get in specifics I've been pretty much everywhere on this continent south of Canada........ Snow is nice and all but when your only shelter is frozen earth and tree's being in the cold longer then a week starts to get really uncomfortable....."
He seemed to have a far off look in his eyes as he continued further. "Although my favorite place by far would have to be the jungles of Brazil. So many trees and exotic plants..... And the air, it was so fresh and clean I could smell everything......" He took a deep breath in through his nose in a nostalgic sigh, but then his face quickly contorted to concern
"...... And why do I smell burning pizza?"

Kaly always had a weakness for a good story - So when Deus began answering her question with detail, she couldn't help but beam and rest her elbows on the table between them. She leaned forward as he spoke, hanging on every word... And losing a mild track of time.
"Must say, I'm quite the opposite with water!" She input with a chuckle. She was getting ready to ask a few more question, such as about his experiences around the world (or the good ones, at least), but before she could... Burning pizza was mentioned. She was confused at first, before taking a whiff of the air and letting out a gasp.
"Oh no!" She shot up from the chair, rushing into the kitchen and grabbing an oven mitt. She quickly yanked the oven open, bending over to quickly pull both pants out and breathe a sigh of relief. (All of this without noticing the way her hips moved when she was leaning over....)
"Oh thank Heavens, it's not that bad..." She said, placing the pans on the counter and setting the mitts aside. The pizzas looked good, if a bit darker than they should. Kaly smiled down at them, before looking back over at Deus, "Now we should just let it cool down before cutting it up and eating - Don't want to burn our mouths now, do we?"

Deus wasn't really to concerned about the food, his nose was so sensitive he had smelt it starting to burn more then actually burning. But when Kaly leaned forwards to get the delectables from the oven he could not help but stare. The worst part was she was actually swaying]/i] her hips for the few moments that she was bent over. That there had nearly done it for the taller man, the red tinge that seemed to be permanent at the moment on his face growing only brighter.
When Kaly turned about to speak to him, he had heard but ignored her statement. He needed an answer now. "Kaly...... Are you trying to attract me?" He said quite bluntly, a look of confusion and slight hurt on the silver haired giants face. "You sway your hips now and again when your in front of me, the kiss you gave me didn't help too much and now for some reason you even smell prettier!" Deus however had no idea that the third thing was his own fault and none to do with Kaly, with the way his mind was focused his nose was working overtime on detecting the near invisible pheromone scent that all creatures had. "I'm sorry but now I'm even more confused then I was, I just........" He said apologetically. "Maybe I should just go......."

His question caused Kaly to stop in her tracks. Her face became beat red and her eyes widened, heart jumping straight into her throat. Truly, she didn't know how to answer his question - While the first thing she thought of was a very defensive denial, a part of her knew that it would be a lie... Whether she realized it or not.
"W-Wait, what??" It was his almost decision to leave that finally broke her out of her flying thoughts - She felt as if something gripped on to her chest, making breathing just a bit more difficult. "N-No, you don't have to!!" She blabbered out, taking a step forward before hesitating, "That is, if you don't want to you don't have to but if you do truly want to go I-I wouldn't be right to stop you but.... But, well, I..." Another moment of hesitation, before she moved the rest of the way forward.
Like when she had been checking him for injuries back at the store, her hands were on either side of Deus's face. Unlike back then, however, nothing stopped her lips from meeting his in a kiss that spoke volumes more than any answer could. Yes, subconsciously, she was trying to attract him - And no. She didn't want him to go.
"... But I'd prefer you didn't..." She whispered when she finally pulled back, although not completely. She remained lingering near him for just a bit longer, before pulling away just a tad... In case he did decide to leave.

When the angel had kissed him, it took a few seconds for the act to register in his mind, and a few more moments for her words to meet his brain as well. He quickly leaned forward slightly so as to meet with Kaly once again, kissing her passionately but awkwardly for this being his second kiss. As he broke away from kissing the angel he locked his amber eyes with her stunning grey orbs.
"I am really confused....... Happy, but confused....." He said with a small smile, before giving the angel another quick peck on the lips. The happy look in his eyes never leaving.
"We should........" He took another glance in her pretty grey eyes before managing to control himself instead of giving in to something rather primal within him. "We should maybe eat yah? I don't really plan on going anywhere now......"

Though awkward, the kiss was enjoyable. Kaly found herself leaning into it, perhaps dragging it out a lot longer than it normally would have been before they finally pulled away. She chuckled when he spoke, dimples flashing with her grin. Happy and confused.... It was understandable, what with how quickly these feelings and this relationship was forming. It even confused her a little bit, and she had a clearer grasp on the situation.
His suggestion to eat the pizza they had cooked was punctuated by a growl coming from her stomach. The Angel flushed, pulling her eyes reluctantly away from his to glance down at her belly and laugh sheepishly.
"That.... That would be a good idea," She said, hesitating for a moment before pulling back to go and cut up the pizza. "Which one would you like?" She asked, indicating to the two different pizzas that were cut up into mostly even slices.

The dimpled smile that the angel gave him was just lovely, accentuated by the gem-flower he had made for her that was still in her hair. A small chuckle escaped him as Kaly's own stomach agreed that they needed food now, her blush doing a good job of matching her lovely red hair. Although the smell of the food was also getting him much hungrier then he had been before, there was something else he was beginning to crave. However it was a subtle feeling and he couldn't pin down what was causing it or what this craving was for.
At Kaly's question of food choice, he took a quick look at either pizza before giving a small shrug."It doesn't really matter to me really......" Deus said, his mind beginning to drift for a moment. "Although I'd rather have you......." He muttered under his breath, not realizing he had said it aloud.

"Alright, I'll give you a bit of both..." Kaly said, placing a few slices of one of the pizzas on her plate and one of each on Deus's plate. She was in the middle of considering taking the pans to the small table so that it would be easier to grab another slice should they want to, but that was when she heard his mumbled words.
"Wh-Whot?" She squeaked, looking up at him in surprise. That was an unexpected thing to hear! She even stammered for a moment, not completely sure how to respond. When she picked up the plates and moved back to the table to get her seat and hand his over, the reply she finally let out was probably just as surprising as what he said, "Maybe after dinner."

When Kaly had suddenly squeaked out of surprise, Deus looked quite embarrassed as his whole face went flush for a moment. "I said that last part out loud didn't I........" He gladly took the plate of food that Kaly had set out in front of him, and quickly dug in. Not having much grace or manners the giant had simply taken one of the slices and took a massive bite out of it. And right as he swallowed was when Kaly muttered something that shocked him
Which of course, had the comical reaction of nearly choking him.
The giants eyes widened as he thumped his chest a few times with his metal hand, knocking the lodged foodstuff loose and clearing his airway. He took a deep breath before looking at Kaly with both shock and amusement on his face. "And I thought I could be a little blunt......" He half joked, poking fun at how he had been rather strait to the point with Kaly the whole night.

Kaly was lifting her own slice of pizza when Deus started choking on his bite due to her words. Her slice was set down as laughter bubbled forth, one hand reaching out a bit as if to help.
"A-Are you alright??" She asked between laughs, trying and failing to stem the flow. She just couldn't help it! She had thoroughly shocked the man, and it amused her more than it should! Eventually she dwindled down to just chuckling, although the twinkle of mischief and amusement still glowed in her eyes. The worry was gone, however, as she realized - Thankfully - that he was perfectly alright.
"Oh, I have my moments!" She said, finally taking a few happy bites of her pizza. She seemed to have almost as much gusto as he did, partly due to hunger and partly to how she just loved food, but her bites weren't nearly as big as his, "If I'm lucky, I might get a few more surprises in before you get used to me!"
